Foxtons have a reputation for being the most bullish, arrogant, aggressive and over priced agent in the UK. What agent could do to change your mind?
Here are my recommendations for how the agents can improve their service in the future: 1. BE HONEST with the tenant about the realities of the flat (for example: how much utility bills typically are, any hidden "quirks", etc). I found out a lot of things about the flat that I wish I had known prior to signing my lease after the fact. 2. Keep lines of communication open with the tenant. After I paid, the agents disappeared. They seemed annoyed when I reached out to them and dismissed all my questions including how to handle difficult interactions with my landlord. The whole experience made me feel like I wasted my money. Consequently I gave negative feedback about Foxtons to all of my contacts who were looking for accommodation in London. 3. Ask for feedback from tenants when they leave a property about what their experience was with the flat, the landlord, and Foxtons. Actively try to improve so that you can provide better service and grow your business.

I rented a flat managed by Foxtons, after I moved out they took almost two months to return my deposit, I called and sent emails. I never had an answer to the emails when I called back always heard excuses. After I received my deposit I never received and apology or any justification. I never seen so unprofessional behaviour, Foxtons should know the emails should be answered. My fiance and I have recently found a new flat with Foxtons. Thanks to Marina Bozzo, who dealt with us throughout, this process was incredibly enjoyable, smooth and very successful. Actually Foxtons now is the best Estate Agency not only in the UK but in the whole world. Its Internet Websites are so well-designed and well-planned that they are extremely helpful to people. Took too long to rent 2 prime located flats, details very poorly drafted on Aquila Street and I have now achieved a lower rental from last year, paying 11% plus VAT fees and a ridiculous £350 plus VAT per tenancy agreement. Daylight robbery considering a below average professional service with no references on the tenants being provided. What agent could do to change your mind?
They should have waivered the tenancy agreement fee of β€š£350 plus VAT. Daylight robbery charging excessive fees bearing in mind I asked to use my own contracts prior to the tenants moving in and mentioned this numerous times to James in the office. β€š£420 per contract that is standard and only the tenants name, address and moving in date is amended and then printed. my solicitor is cheaper by the hour and this takes 2 minutes to draft. I will never use this office again now unless this fee is waivered and I am refunded in full.

These people have been appalling. Sending 3, 4, people to examine some problem that could be fixed with one visit (after months of getting them to look at it) and one wonders billing the landlord for all of them? They have ruined relations with a very lovely owner. Tried to extort money by "clauses" in the contract that whoopsie aren't there. For tenants or landlords absolutely awful. Avoid like the plague!!...

These agents ARE pushy, rude, arrogant and unhelpful, once the contract had been signed. I pay just under £2K/Month (6 months upfront) to live in flat that was not cleaned before i moved in, had mice, and simple procedures such as light bulbs weren't working. I also moved in and there mold in the bathroom, which i had to buy industrial cleaners and clean myself. There were no curtains provided in the front room (I am a women living alone) and the window was larger than standard ready made ...

A few lessons in genuine customer service could improve the company. Fulfilled there side of the contract to ensure i was living in a safe, clean. mice free flat. Given me the correct information at the time of asking, not threatening legal action without apologizing to me for THEIR MISTAKE. (This is documented.) Cleaned the flat (as stated in the contract) Not get some lazy cleaner to wipe the work surface.

I was extremely impressed by the success of Adam Lockett and his team in letting my flat within 3 days. In my opinion this was the result of the combination of an enthusiastic, capable and well-directed letting team when provided with a marketable product (thanks also to my builder) and Adam's spot-on pricing. Do not sign up with Foxtons as you will sign with the devil. They are incompetent, arrogant, useless and are only interesting in one thing only money! As soon as they have your money and signature, they could not care less about you as a tenant and will create problems between you and the landlords. They also change your payment records and backdate rent increases so you end in rent arrears although you have paid your rent on time and in full at all times. Pushy and clueless agents who, no matter what you say, will insist on showing you all the old drivel in their inventory, even if it does not remotely match what you told them you're looking for. It doesn't get better once you've made the mistake of renting one of their managed properties: they'll hand over a dirty pig sty and claim it was 'professionally cleaned' before you moved in, and throughout the tenancy up until you move out they'll try to milk you with their myriad and hidden charges. ...

When you move into the property you should check the inventory schedule and mark any changes within 7 days of receiving the report. The reason a report is created is to avoid any problems at the end of the tenancy. Think ahead next time... Foxtons have been in business a while and await innocent tenants to 'rip' them off. Check all you paper work and if you dont agree with something... then make the necessary alterations and send it back to them. ....

As soon as I went for a viewing through Foxtons, they (3 different people) were bombarding me with phone calls. Their sales tactics were way too aggressive and pushy which was a turn off. Not only that, they contacted my landlady right away and told her that I was planning to move out and that there were others interested in moving into the flat so she should call Foxtons asap! That was completely out of line so I deregistered with Foxtons right away. I would not recommend them to anyone....
