I am leaving this review with the only purpose of warning people who may be thinking of using Foxtons as a quality-guaranteed agent. At the beginning when a potential tenant shows interest in a property, they are extremely efficient and helpful, but one the first payment has been made and the tenancy agreement signed, they literally disappear. It is my duty as a good citizen to give the names of the persons that were responsible of the mess I suffered: Yasseen Jebara and Leanna Sherman both were working in the Surbiton brand in the Lettings department. Leanna was the manager.

It is my duty as a good citizen to give the names of the persons that were responsible of the mess I suffered: Yasseen Jebara and Leanna Sherman both were working in the Surbiton brand in the Lettings department. Leanna was the manager.
Firstly, and very important to remark, I was looking for a house to rent for myself and my family (wife + 1 year old child).
I had a terrible experience with Foxtons when we rented a house in Akerman Road in Surbiton (KT65NS). We made an offer for an unfurnished property and subject to previous removal of the landlord's fridge and washing machine as we were going to buy our own appliances. We asked the agent (Yasseen Jebara) if the shed was going to be emptied for our use, and he immediately responded YES of course.
The check-in process was very strange, Foxtons did not allow me to be present during the inventory report, and I had to go to the brand to collect the keys of the property so I was on my own on the moving in day.
My year-long nightmare starts at the moment I opened the door to discover the mess. I was firstly impressed by the terrible smell like a wet dog (this was the result of wetting but not cleaning the carpet. The carpets were completely dirty, and I had to pay a carpet cleaning from my own pocket costing me £360. This was very inconvenient as I had arranged for all my furniture to be delivered the day after the moving in date and I had to clean the carpet before, so I had to temporarily store my furniture (at my cost).
Apart from that I found out that most of the window locks were broken so anyone from outside could access through the windows. My other big surprise was the discovery of all the landlord ancient furniture stored in a brand new (and much bigger) shed that he installed without telling me. Foxtons and the Landlord made their own arrangements without telling me a word. The new shed was taking a lot of space from the garden we saw during the viewing.
Then I went to the kitchen and found the landlord's appliances were in there (and it was part of the offer to get them removed before moving in). I had the delivery of my own appliances arranged for the day after moving in but I had to change the delivery date (at my own cost of course).
Apart from these issues I found other important safety faults (like naked cables all around the house), stair steps broken and a shower with no pressure at all (we had to install a pump to be able to get enough pressure to take a decent shower).
The landlord was also using the attic as his own personal storage (He used to come in the house every month to store / take his stuff).
We were told the house was for sale but only for investors, so we didn't pay much attention. Then after a couple of months we realised the big mistake we made as we had viewings every week.
The landlord only wanted to sell the house and in the meantime, getting some extra cash from the rent. Finally the landlord would give us the notice to leave the property the day before the lockdown was establish in the UK because of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Landlord and Foxtons pushed us to move during the lockdown, he didn't care I was a blood cancer patient. We moved out in June 2020 voluntarily for own our health.
Yasseen Jebara and Leanna Sherman lied to me in my face. They were responsible to get the property ready for us the tenants, but they didn't because Foxtons are only interested in the money and I had already paid the first month and the deposit. I would have cancel the tenancy but I couldn't leave my family without a roof and couldn't afford to lose another couple of weeks to find another place (and I was afraid of a potential and endless Court Process).
I preferred not to take any legal actions because of my young family. I just wanted to live peacefully in a property but because of Foxtons, the period from March 2019 to June 2020 was a constant nightmare in our lives.
So if you worry about your health and your family's do not chose Foxtons.

I was under the 0% deal and Greg went all out. Normal fees are higher than the competition but Greg got my flat sold despite it having been on the market a year earlier with a different agent. Guess the results speak for themselves.

We couldn't fault the service we received from Greg Boxer and his team who went over and beyond what we would or could reasonably have expected from them. They were consistently professional, polite and responsive to us. They worked extremely hard to make sure our sale went through in the tight timescale required by the rest of the chain, proactively following up with all parties and sorting out problems that others hadn't been able to resolve. It really was a 'rolls-royce' service. Both Greg and Ollie were cheerful in manner but also very understanding. It was a real pleasure to work with them.

We purchased a property through Foxtons. Our first contact was with Billy Brawn. He did a fantastic job of interviewing us to understand what we were looking for in a property. The properties we viewed demonstrated how well he had listened to us as we rapidly found a property we liked. Our offer was passed to the seller quickly and allowed us to move into the purchasing process rapidly. We then dealt with Greg Boxer for the main sales process. Greg did a generally great job of answering questions and giving us updates on information from the seller as we progressed, particularly with chasing all the parties involved to get to the point of exchange of contracts. Overall I'd certainly recommend using Foxtons Surbiton to others.

We used Foxtons to sell our property in Surbiton and we weren't disappointed with the service we received throughout. I have recently worked with Foxtons Surbiton both as a landlord and as a buyer and I have to say there is a world of difference between other agents and Foxtons, I worked with Billy Brawn and the sales manager Gregory Boxer, and I can't recommend them highly enough.
If you appreciate call backs, being kept informed and a general pro-active approach that you simply won't find with other estate agents then give Foxtons Surbiton a try.
Don't be put off by slightly higher fees - you get what you pay for.
Im hopeful of an Epsom and Sutton branch next!
