Used the Bitterne branch for selling my property. They were lying from the start. Did not return calls. When called 3rd time in day - the receptionist answer was always that agent just went out and will call me later. It took three days to get reply and even than we had to call them again to get replay. Unprofessional staff. Never left any feedback. Never informed us on day of completion (the Easton agent contacted as - the company from which we were buying house). When they called - their talk was full of lies - multiply times they told us that we will exchange contract next day and that took two months. The staff is highly immature and costumer care is not existing.

Despite some previous comments, I had no problems at all with F&S. After a very poor performance by the agent I chose originally, F&S took over the sale and ran it in a perfectly acceptable way. Despite some previous comments, I had no problems at all with F&S. After a very poor performance by the agent I chose originally, F&S took over the sale and ran it in a perfectly acceptable way. I live a long way off, so couldn't visit often, but they kept me well informed throughout and overall were very helpful and professional. I would have no qualms about using their services again.

I used F&S to let a property. The good parts first: they found a tenant quickly, willing to pay the asking price.
Now the rest:
They lie. Constantly. To landlord and tenants. It's not the odd little white lie here and there, it's constant. Do not trust ANYTHING they say unless you have seen other evidence for it. I got the impression they were so used to doing it that they didn't even realise when they did.
They ignore requests, ignore phone calls, don't keep promises. The agent I dealt with constantly talked over me, making it clear she wasn't listening, then did things I expressly asked her not to do - including lying to the tenant. I am a good landlord - I don't need to lie to my tenants - and it is frustrating to find the tenant has been lied to and I have to sort it out.
They overcharged me and didn't invoice me until I had requested it numerous times, so I couldn't work out where the problem had been. Since then I have emailed and called more than 10 times, and nearly four weeks have passed - no refund. Most emails were ignored and calls resulted in promises to act which they simply did not do.
They lost track of the keys I had given them and left it to me to sort out. They lost a key the previous time I used them too - despite them emphatically stating that their key tracking system meant that they absolutely could not have lost it. They later found the missing key. Not one word of an apology or admission that they had in fact messed up and denied it.
Much more I could say - but the basic point is they are terrible. Unprofessional.

I found the whole experience dealing with this company an absolute nightmare. They don't seem to care at all about tenants, and they are disorganized and bias and favorable towards landlords. I understand that Southampton is a landlords paradise but that shouldn't mean that tenants are treated as expendable. Even after the nightmare of the rental period has ended, the torture continues with us trying to negotiate the return of our deposit. One word of advice, if you HAVE TO use this company make sure you photograph every single detail when you move in, do not go by their inventory, because like us you could get caught out by them employing a check out system 10 times more superior when you move out compared to when you moved in thus jeopardising your entire deposit and then some!

Every bit of marketing apart from their window was "extra". property valued by manager who within 4 weeks said to lower by £25,000 within a few more weeks suggested lowering by £50 to move to top of searches in Rightmove! Manager then accused us of valuing the house and denied showing graphs to show few sales with boards ( we didn't wAnt one) - the agent with us at the time later confirmed she had shown me.

We changed to another agent ( joint agency) and within 2 weeks the house was sold, on the first viewing! A wholly different and professional company.

After deciding to take the flat off the market they lost the keys to the property! We chased them everyday for 4 days to ask about the keys. On the 4th day they had been found, but we of course had to call the office to discover this, they said we could go and collect them. After insisting that the lest they could do was drop them round, an agent eventually delivered them.

What agent could do to change your mind?
They could of told me upfront about there fees and that they would be deducting them from me, at the meeting.

Really not happy with them, told them twice that no savings was in this account, just the money I live off.
Also the buyers incentive don't be fooled, its just a rip off, there, There conveyance company will also rip you off.

Overal tone was patronising and was not interested in showing me to property at all.. Poor customer service, poor first impression.
