Good communication from the very start of our sale. Calls and emails always dealt with promptly. Ray even showed a client our house on his day off & was always on hand on his mobile outside of hours & weekends - great service ?
Ray''s valuation was on par with what we had hoped for.
Viewings were a tad stressful as there was nowhere for us to go but this was due to being in lockdown so out of everyone's control
After only 10 days on the market, we received a handful of offers. We did find choosing a buyer after best and final offers quite stressful but Douglas Allen supplied us with very good information on each buyer and we are happy with our choice.
Found everyone at the Wanstead Branch, Ray, Luke & Carly to be professional, always happy to help and friendly.
Luke very kindly put us in touch with the prime agent in our search area and was very helpful in advising us on the surrounding areas outside of our preferred area.

We bought a house in Wanstead though Douglas Allen and, I would readily use and recommend Nathan as an excellent Estate agent who will work very hard to get to a positive outcome, where both buyer and seller feel like a winner. They reported regularly on sales progress, followed the sale through and help with areas outside their immediate role (eg house clearance being organised) to ensure that the sale completed. A job... What agent could do to change your mind?
Nothing. I feel better quality staff need to be employed by this agency.

I would contact them about advertised properties several times only to be told stuff like; we don't have the keys yet, tenants are in and so on...and I would ask them to ring me when I can view the property. Then I found out that one of the properties I requested to see was under offer. I asked them how is this possible as I did not get to see it only to be told I requested not to be called, that I would call them and that they had lots of properties they never advertise, but instead call their 'preferred customers'.

I pointed out to them that I did get in touch about this property and I did ask to be called back when they have the keys. The agent kept on insisting I was at fault as I opted out of being called for any random unsuitable property (at times they would ring me 3 times a day for stuff that was highly unmatched).
I wonder who these preferred customers are if people like me are not getting a chance to see properties and we are not investors, instead we are prepared to pay a good price for a property that will be our home.
Maybe they don't mean to be this unprofessional but it is certainly coming across this way. I only had this problem with them, other agents call me when something that seriously might suit me comes along and they seem to be able to remember what I told them. Shame about the fact that DA's system is not set up in a way that does not require unnecessary phone calls while I am working only to find out that 9 out of 10 phone calls are about nothing that suit me. I now feel I might give them a miss...even if I do find a home through them, the nightmare of dealing with them will destroy me.
If you are selling a property and you would like professional people with large deposit and a good mortgage offer to buy it, think twice about advertising with them.

Once on their books I had several viewings, all of which they handled, and an open house. The property had an offer within 4 weeks of being on the market with them but more importantly with a qualified buyer that really wanted my home. The deal went through and I only wish that I had used this agency in the first place. I would highly recommed this firm to anyone in the areas they operate in. Also I would argue that they are VFM!

Very efficient service Nathan visited promptly and there was no hard sell. They offered to show prospective buyers around our home. The photos taken were high quality and really showed the house in detail - although we didnt end up using these as the house sold before it went online. I registered to receive updates for Wanstead and Snaresbrook but have been getting stuff from different boroughs even, because and I quote the employee 'it all comes down as one area'. This results in me getting several useless emails from them daily. rang me for a survey and an opinion on the property I saw and then asked me to wait while the phone was being answered (just bad manners here). Been rang to be told about the new property I might like - again miles away from where I am looking. really frustrating because I am so far down the chain and ready to buy and they have properties I like I just cannot get hold of because of their incompetence.
Please be aware of this if you are thinking about going to sell your property with them - they do not make an effort to sell it!
