Martin and Wright is an adequate if entirely undistinguished letting agent. Viewings were easily arranged and competently conducted. The agent was unwilling to ask the landlord for as much flexibility as I requested for a contract start date. After the offer was accepted, the vetting process was drawn-out and the letting agent was entirely unable to clarify specifics of the financial vetting despite extensive discussion of our specific situation. Handover of keys was problem-free. I have not had to deal much with the agency subsequently, the only problem being a tradesman given the wrong keys necessitating a re-booked visit. M&W have contacted me repeatedly to ask for this review, not taking the hint that their service was firmly in the category of "unspectacular".

We found our current flat via this agency, the viewing was arranged at a convenient time on a Saturday which was OK. We placed an offer on Monday which was accepted by the landlord after some mutual negotiations, and M&W managed that process. We were a bit worried when we entered the flat as it had some damp issues which I think the agency may have been aware of and felt that we should have been told about. All in all however, Jay was very helpful with the contract and accommodated our requests promptly and Tania was quick to reply to our queries. As far as estate agents go, this is a decent one.
