I rented a flat through them. Unfortunately after the tenants contract ended the tenant started paying half the rent and refusing to vacate property.
I noted that in February no money was paid into my account and informed Dexter's that they have not transferred the half rent that the tenant paid. I informed Dexters they need to transfer the sum paid by tenant less commission to my account. They did not do that. I asked them to let me speak to their manager to look into that but they did not reply.
I have reasons to believe that they retained the half rent paid by the tenant for the month of February but they are blocking me from talking to manager or making a complaint.

Avoid this agency under all costs!
We rented 42 Connell Crescent for over a year and living there was terrible. The property has humidity issues and mold grows on all the walls. We had two dehumidifiers, opened windows all day long and had heating was on all the time but we still had mold on the walls and could barely breathe due to high humidity. We addressed this propblem to the agency and they said that the propety had an assessment done about this issue, as prevoius tenents had the same problem, and the asseessment says that the property has no problems whatsoever. The agency refused to do anything regarding this issue and said it is only a matter of condensation but it was not.
At the end of the tenancy agreement, the agency asked us to clean the mold otherwise money will be dedcted from the deposit. We cleaned all the mold except for one spot (which we did not see) behind a wardrobe. The check-out report came after almost 2 weeks of moving out and did not indicate any propblems with mold. However, the landlay is aware of the mold issue and so she went herself to the property and checked everywhere for mold including behind the wardrobes. She found the spot and so the agency dedcted £150 for it and for two small drilled holes in the wall (these holes were there when we moved in but we did not have a proof of that and check-in report did not mention anything about them).
The agency initially wanted to deduct £450 of our deposit in which £200 was for issues that already existed in the property and thank god we had a proof that those issues were there from day one (the check-in report conveniently did not mention those issues but the check-out report did!). At the end I paid £150, not £450.
This property also suffers from terrible insulation and we have reported this problem as well and nothing was done about it. Watch the video in my Google review as a summary for we had to go through.
There were other problems which I will not mention, otherwise the review will be too long. Long story short, the agency will do anything to be on the landlord's side and to deduct money from your deposit. If you really have to rent from them then make sure you check everything in the check-in report, literally EVERYTHING even little scratches on and holes because you WILL be charged for them if you do not have a proof that they exist from day one. If you do not have to rent from them, then run away and never deal with them!

Regarding lettings - they managed to let subletters come into the property and until they couldn't pay didn't even know they lived there! Not handy when you are paying a premium for fully managed service.
Overall really let down

We have used Dexters as our letting agents for 4 years on two properties in Ealing. Over this time they have certainly given us honest and good advice and always been very supportive. Now my electrics went. I had to have the fire brigade had to come out as I had reported a fault with my dishwasher to the agent and for 36hrs no one got back to me. Ended up with a burnt out dishwasher and the firemen telling me the electrics all needed up dating.
Now the water pump has gone and I will be with out water in the home for a minimum 24hra up to three days. The property agent said it's not their problem and nothing they can do about it.
They are rude and don't call back not even to the letting agent who are lovely.
Do not let from these people. I have rented for 20years all over the world and never had such service.

Never again! Absolutely awful service! Property management department of Dexters is as terrible as their lettings. They always blame everything on the landlords and try to push as many tasks on the tenants as possible. They cannot do a single thing right (cannot enter the property for visit, ignore reported maintenance issues, leave you without proper hot water and heating for months, sends wrong check out reports etc.). Absolutely the worst agency I have ever been in touch with.
They made numerous errors during setting up our rental contract and misrepresented us in numerous occasions towards the landlords. They absolutely take no responsibility for any of their actions and always blame the landlords for everything.
As a result of their behavior we had to move in 6 months and pay all the agency fees again to a different agent.
