The agency was on a full managed service. They helpfully paid an unpaid water bill at the end of a tenancy, on our behalf out of our float, in 2010, but failed to do the checkout properly for the next tenant in 2011 and left a minor ƒÂ¯¿½27 electricity bill unpaid in 2011 at the end of the next tenancy. This agent is very unprofessional. They put a letting advert of the property which I own onto Zoopla without my permission and were very slow to take it down. I.e they put fake adverts up to generate interest. When I complained and asked them to take it down they put my contact details on their database and spammed me with property emails. Avoid by any means possible! When they have your money any communication, manners or common sense seems to disappear. It took months for jobs that were promised to be completed before we moved in to get done. 8 months exactly for us to get are back door key. We had been dealing with Davis and Gibbs with regards to another one of their properties however this fell through at the last minute through the landlord being difficult and had nothing to do with Davis and Gibbs. Callum correctly valued and marketed our two bedroom flat and had an offer within two weeks which we accepted. He offered a friendly service to both myself and the potential buyers that were shown around. Unfortunately we became involved in a chain of ten buyers; due to the time this would take we reluctantly had to pull out from the sale. What agent could do to change your mind?
Repair of our landlord/agent relationship is hopefully an ongoing work in progress, one in which I hope to see and feel a greater priority of care/ care to detail from Davis & Gibbs.

I was offered a discount as a long term landlord user of the service, but it appears that hasn't been translated to upper management. I'll soon have to source through documents just to obtain the tiny reduction offered.

I had bought this large unique apartment from Davis and Gibbs (Brian Gibbs) in 2008, so when it came to selling it in 2013, I gave them the job alongside Foxtons (the traditional heavyweights for sellers!) My friends and I rent a property that is managed by Davis & Gibbs. They were acceptable while we were getting the property but as soon as we had signed the contract (and thus guaranteed them an income for the year of around £26000) they have completed neglected us and the property. These guys add no value. Never register your email with them. They don't have an unsubscribe button (which is ridiculous in this day and age) and they don't even monitor their inbox when you ask to be removed. They don't listen to any of your search criteria. They basically just try to blast you with their inventory as though you will magically be interested even though it isn't at all what you're looking for....

Bullys, liars, and cheats. Harass us agressively for charges that are not covered anywhere in the tenancy agreement and out-rightly ignore our legitimate questions and concerns. Transparency in answering questions. Checks by senior staff on the communication between tenants and lower staff to ensure basic levels of politeness and also punishment to staff that clearly disrespect tenanats and ignore their legitimate concerns.

Having had bad experiences in the past I was a bit dubious of going down that road again. I don\'t usually feel strongly enough to write reviews on these sites but the level of service I received from Davis & Gibbs really impressed. Realistic valuation of the property and quality of potential tenants (no time wasters) all lead to me finding a tenant much sooner than anticipated.
