By far the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. I'm a honest and reliable tenant with a great history. When I first viewed the property it was part-furnished with two beds and a sofa. I asked the agent if these items could be removed if I decided to sign. She phoned someone and... Read Full Review
Hidden renewal fees that seem to increase year-on-year. I have no idea what these fees are for - other agencies don't charge them. I can guarantee it's not for exceptional customer service!

This company are deceitful liars & have shown no respect for the terms of The Property Ombudsman to whom I complained about their lack of professionlism & customer service. They deserve to be on the black list of property companies & I can only hope they may improve after the Ombudsman... Read Full Review

We were charged £414 in application fees when setting up the tenancy agreement (for 2 people). After 6 months we were told that the landlord no longer wished to let the property and we had to leave, despite being told when we moved in that we could renew after 6 months. We were then told if we... Read Full Review
Given that is was not our choice to terminate out existing tenancy and we had only been with them 6 months I think that it would have been perfectly reasonable to expect them to make no charge for application/ reference fees on setting up a tenancy with a further property with them. They were not prepared to do this.

Complete rip off merchants and fraudsters. Non-existent customer service. Charged me a fee to renew a tenancy agreement, cashed the cheque and did nothing to provide the service apart from trying to charge my tenant a fee too. Eventually sorted the contract out myself but impossible to get a... Read Full Review
Pay me back the renewal fee as requested in a timely manner and as clearly stated as their code of practice!

STAY AWAY from COUNTRYWIDE PLC and FULFORDS. Ripped off, misinformed, landed with scum as tenants who are encouraged to work the benefits system by Fulfords. Our property has been destroyed, Fulfords have employed cowboys (probably relatives) for erroneous repairs, tenants smoking and doing drugs, ... Read Full Review
I think Countrywide operate in a such a way that their staff can not be bothered to ensure Landlords interests are protected. The bottom line is they want their fees, they get us to pay for legal protection and then ensure their fees are the first thing protected! it is an immoral racket made worse by the benefits and bleeding heart culture of the UK where individuals are encouraged to exploit homeowners and the benefit system so they can remain jobless and live for free. I have encountered no professional pride or integrity in any dealings so it is hopeless to imagine change is possible.

Please do not use this agency or Frank Innes who acts as the letting agent, just read other reviews and you will see why. I have a list so long of complaints ,and they have ignored my emails. If anyone has an email or telephone number e of the Company Director or General manager I would be most... Read Full Review
Responded to my emails sent me information they promised ensured the tenants took meter reading before leaving and about 15 other things

All went well appointment was booked went along and was shown around by the current tenant who had nothing nice to say about her letting agent and I can't blame her! The ensuite shower was... Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
