My wife and I have recently completed on a purchase of a property through Connells of Paignton.
We found the purchase long and complicated with several issues and problems along the way.
Jamie (Manager) although protecting his clients also took into consideration our feelings and requirements, he went the extra mile to help to sort out all the issues and problems to the satisfaction of both his clients and ourselves.
This made matters so much easier and as stress free as possible.
We would certainly consider using Jamie in any future sale/purchase in the future.
A big thank you to Jamie and the team.

I was shown a flat to rent with mould in the bedroom and bathroom. Even with cleaning the bath/ shower was unusable. The agent claimed that the mould was not the dangerous type of mould.!!! I was shown a flat to rent with mould in the bedroom and bathroom. Even with cleaning the bath/ shower was unusable.
The agent claimed that the mould was not the dangerous type of mould.!!! The carpets were stained as were the walls in all rooms .
I explained to the agent that there would need to be improvements before I considered renting the property.
The same evening the agent called me to say that the landlord had chosen someone else . Presumably someone who was unfortunately so desperate for accommodation that they were forced to accept these conditions.
Shame on you Connells. Your standards have reached a new low.

What a bunch of muppets!! I drove for 5 hours to view a property in Paignton,as I am moving to the area, only to be told that they had forgotten to confirm with the tenant, they gave no real apology to speak of. I was then booked into see another property on that afternoon so I waited patiently and then no one arrived to meet me at the scheduled time, I called the office and they had obviously forgotten. A very harassed agent arrived shortly after my call but had no idea where the keys where! I asked for some feedback on the questions I asked re this property and I am still waiting for a call back. That was two weeks ago!!!!!

Rented our property from Barbetts for 14 months, connells come along promise landlord they will reduce management fee so they get the business, but after promises that they are not putting rent up, I get a letter straight after the 1st months rent gets paid to say we putting rent up by an extra £175 per month, so that's how they get the extra money to cover the loss of management fee, they lie when confronted and claim it's landlords decision, but email from head office claims it's the letting manager in Paignton idea, I asked manager and he refused to acknowledge this claim he could answer the question, seriously don't trust them the screw the tenants to help the landlord while furnishing their pockets, so we have sent to rent tribunal which could mess the management side up if rent is reduced and won't help landlord, avoid them at all costs over inflated rents

They found me a lovely place in a beautiful area. The property did come with some faults, however Shani has seen to all my problems and has made sure all work was carried out to a high standard . The offer was accepted on this property and we contacted our surveyor who could not do this service for two weeks. Then he had to cancel our Friday appointment and arrange the next Tuesday he said he would hand deliver the survey but it did not arrive until Friday (3 days after the survey was done) ... The offer was accepted on this property and we contacted our surveyor who could not do this service for two weeks. Then he had to cancel our Friday appointment and arrange the next Tuesday he said he would hand deliver the survey but it did not arrive until Friday (3 days after the survey was done) The surveyor had to go into hospital the day it was delivered and we saw several points that needed to be discussed with the surveyor so when we were getting emails from jenny foster saying we had not had the searches done we rang several times to tell her this but she was not in. So we emailed her and received back on the Tuesday an email asking for her to see the survey. When we rang the office she said the bungalow had been offered to someone else. We were both shocked and rang her back asking how we can complain about our treatment she said she had done nothing wrong and said the other people had offered £250000 (ten thousand pounds more than accepted by us) and actually asked us if we were going to offer more. Our solicitor is very interested in this and has asked if he can look into this further. We are really upset and are out of pocket. WHY I thought it was illegal to disclose offers to other people and should not have ask us to go into a price war
