Truly awful customer service!
We vacated our (awful) rental property on time and returned the keys in person to the office as we told them- this was almost 3 months ago and we still haven't received our deposit back despite numerous calls and emails, which were mostly un-returned, only a complaint to the Tenancy Deposit Scheme actually prompted them to move things along and yet WE ARE STILL WAITING!
During the Tenancy there were numerous issues with the property which took an age to rectify. Property was listed as having an EPC rating of D which was totally unrealistic as it was freezing cold during the spring and autumn let alone the winter. The online facility for reporting repairs is rubbish. It was very clear that the local agents didn't correspond with head office as they didn't know what was happening with either our tenancy renewal nor the end of the tenancy when it came. All in all an awful experience and I really do feel for anyone who has no option but to rent a property if this is a typical experience......
Would leave 0 stars but I can't :-(

Have just received an email from local office asking whether we are going to renew and if not landlord wants to re-market- it's like banging your head against a brick wall whilst simultaneously trying to get blood out of a stone.....not impressed. Property was in poor state and it took 4 weeks for a plumber to come out to fix leaking toilets and no cold water coming into the bath taps - our water bill for 2 months was more than we paid for 10 months in our last house.

Although their fees seemed quite a bit higher than other letting agents they did price match for me as the property was being marketed by two companies. Having said that, the service was excellent so perhaps you get what you lay for!

It was wonderful experience as Sadie helped me so much for two months viewing different properties and calling me when something comes on the market as I am a bit picky ..she really did understand what I was looking for and helped me talking to the landlord to bargain a reduced rent for what he was asking. Natasha also made my second view on the property I applied for and sent me the agreement and helped over the phone a couple of times and both of them are very freindly and helped me through the finalisation of the contract .Connels have a great structure and business model which I appreciated and I will definitely recommend to my friends and acquaintances. Again both Sadie and Natasha were very helpful over the telephone whenever I needed help to understand anything.
