This is a shame, it sounds as though "JVS" is a stranger to the truth; I would suggest had he told the correct version of his plight he would have to admit his own failings. To pass comment about another persons knowledge of their profession is unjust unless of course the persons knowledge had been tested to some depth. In this instance I would suggest no test has taken place therefore no valid comment can be made. For example, a letting agent would not consider it fair to comment about the ...
