They are sucking money and stressing you out every time you get in contact with them. Avoid them in any possible way. During my whole life I have not experienced such negative emotions which I have experienced during 2 years of tenancy through chase evans. Everything, from letting, to viewings and leaving the property was absolutely horrible. THERE SHOULD BE NO PLACE FOR SUCH A COMPANY IN THE MARKET!!!!!!! One star review is too much for chase evans, but there was not option to put 0....

Any fees for such services are too high, they should be paying you back money for stressing you out by such a horrible, unethical attitude.

this agency only thought about money. If you are unlucky, your boiler damage on Friday or Weekend, they will ask you to shower with cold water over the weekend in order to save their weekend charge of plumber cost. We have a 3 year old kid at home, but they refused to repair the boiler immediately in order to save their cost last time, they said they will only send the plumber on monday. Yesterday the boiler was completely broken, we had already given 24 hour notice to them on thursday, but they...

Property did not come with any of the displayed flat furnishings eg kettle, toaster etc. My biggest gripe is that both bathrooms don't have a mirror. Agent or landlord didn't seem to care about rectifying the situation. The property manager rang and told me her flat didn't have a mirror. I'm like good for you, then she takes this bizarre moral high ground as if I really offended her. Avoid at all costs. £1850 pcm for a 2 bed (furnished) with no mirrors come on. Please note the flat the a...

We saw an advert on Rightmove, went to see the flat which they said is used a corporate let( so they can go in between the temporary tenants) , they asked us to pay £250 as a holding deposit even before our offer was accepted, 5 min after we paid the money they called to say the flat was not available, we never saw our money back from them, they never replied to our emails. I first had the misfortune of dealing with these idiots last year. Be prepared to go to court to get your deposit back. I know of numerous people who are having to go to the small claims court. Luckily, they are not exactly an educated bunch of individuals so take it all the way as you won't get a penny back otherwise. Stay away unless you are happy to lose β€š£β€š£β€š£β€š£β€š£β€š£...

I moved to London 3 weeks ago and was looking for an apartment in the Canary Wharf area. Had no clue whatsoever of what location/street should I be looking at or who should I be contacting to check out these places, and then I was just walking near the Pan Peninsula property and saw Chase Evans office right there. I went in and met Elise Mallia, an employee of Chase Evans. She understood what I was looking for and what kind of facilities I need and rather than showing me anything and everything,...

Hi Saurabh Dhawan, Majority of the agents do a fine job when it comes to moving in. Their true colours are exposed only when the tenants move out. I can't wait to read your review at the end of your tenancy. Wishing you a pleasant stay. I hope it is a positive one for a change. :-)....

These agents are a complete pack of "*". You only have to ask yourself, how does a lettings business bag the bottom story of one of the most exclusive developments on the peninsula? How do they all drive around in top brand new Audi's and wear £3000 suits? The answer unsurprisingly is by keeping YOUR DEPOSIT! yes, you the sucker. Whereas outside of london - Landlords pay a fee to let their property, with chase evans landlords pay NOTHING - all the costs are basically on you...

Need to realise that the deposit money is for protection of the contents of the flat -- not to appropriate in their own bank account to pay inflated fees

Update to this As I KNEW would happen, the DPS Returned my full deposit minus £58 for lightbulbs and cleaning. That was after being dragged through the DPS process kicking and screaming and filing things late, dragging it out as long as they could and then in the middle of the process withholding a new reference for a new apartment due to the dispute. Anyhow - moral of the story is, never accept that they can just keep your deposit for 'landlords reasonable fees' and challenge it ev....

We were served notice to move out of our old flat because the landlord was selling, which was fair enough. We started looking immediately and found a flat in a new build that we liked. On enquiring about the flat, we found out that the building self was not due for completion for another month or so. This was perfect as we had two months notice. Everything was provisionally agreed: rent, start date (initially the agent wanted to start earlier- presumably to get more rent but we refused and told ...

Just take my word for it. DO NOT GO WITH CHASE EVANS. I rented out a property at Pan Peninsula for a year which I looked after with great care. My security deposit was 1500 pounds at the end of the tenancy they took away 2000 which I had to dispute and I managed to get most of my security deposit back. They slapped on random \'cooling charges\' amounting to around 800 pounds. As well as charging me 120 pounds for a stained towel. The list is endless of stupid charges that I was forced to p...

Wooohooo... I\'ve found my flat at last! I\'ve rented flats for years in London, ever since I moved over from Oz 12 years ago. And I\'ve worked with a lot of agents to find the right apartment. However I just wanted to single out Helen Creed at Chase Evans who has been fantastic. She took the time to understand what we were looking for, and worked really late, to make sure we were in the flat on the date we requested. It has been a real pleasure working with an agency who takes the time t...

£700. That is the lovely figure we got taken from our security deposit for outrageous examples like a stain in a towel £25 (we never used it cause i literally thought it was used as a mop as it was disgusting), a missing coffee spoon (counted them before we left so that was again incorrect) £10, no inventory report when moving in so no way you can prove they are wrong, broken heating counter so we got charged £500 for using a heater that was barely on because we were stup...

Reassess our case and return the unfair amount taken from us. Not only costs were unrealistic AND most inexistent but you have been the most unprofessional and untrustworthy business that we have ever come across in our lives and you should be taken to a proper court to close down the business for all illegal actions you have taken on clients who thought where finding a home with you.

I recently rented a property for 6 months through Chase Evans - I thought the fees were high but move in was okay. I looked after the property (one bed) really well, I had a weekly cleaner for 2 hours and I was away every other weekend and I don\'t cook so I left in the same condition in which I moved in. However, the company have tried to keep £1500 of my £2500 deposit - they found loads of nuances in the check out report and charged a fortune to have it cleaned again even after I\'...

I have had some bad experiences in the past with agents however after being put in touch with Chase Evans via a Friend of mine who has been renting through them for a number of years I was more than pleasantly surprised by how well I was taken care of by Lauren and was made to feel very welcome. She showed me flats I requested to see as well as a couple extra ones a little over my budget however which I ended up taking one of them, as I love it . Now sitting in my studio in Pan Peninsula after a...

Having dealt with a number of letting agents over a fair number of years i have found Chase Evans to be by far amongst the most helpful and knowledgable. Everything has seemed to run so smoothly from when we first viewed (they only showed us the kind of property we actually wanted - not what they wanted me to take) right through to moving in and were quickly onto a couple of maintenance issues when we moved in. Anybody looking to be around Canary Wharf/Docklands we\'d recommend to use these guys...

I would have to argue that this kind of post is made by an agent of Chase Evans as it is a rebuttal to the vast amount of negative comments thrown at the agency on this site. Being a tenant of a property managed by Chase Evans in the Canary Wharf/Docklands area, I highly disagree. I had to wait, chase (hence their name), and tear into the company to get ANYTHING done for months and months. Completely dissatisfied with their services, and at the end of the tenancy they made it merely impossi....
