Late fee are excessive and not justifiable. It seems that they sell these late invoice to JB Leitch who then uses aggressive language and tactics. There are lots of horror stories on JB Leitch.

I also had an invoice referred by Centick to JB Leitch. There were no reminders and no mail - no opportunity to set up direct debit. As per previous £174 legal fee. It was my fault in that I was overdue but the follow up is ridiculous. Makes you wonder what the connection is between the 2? Does anybody know? I am due to hand my keys back in next Tuesday, I have had the property professionally cleaned by a cleaning company that Centrick also use for their cleaning, (so no excuse there) I have gone through all the check list to make sure nothing is misplaced or damaged.
I have nearly £2,000 deposit with Centrick, I am extremely concerned about some of the stories I have read on the forums about this letting agent ripping deposits of tenants.
