Appalling service. As a landlord their fees are extortionate. Their service levels are dreadful. They never call back when phoned and e-mails are not responded to promptly. They regularly deducted unauthorised sums from rental payments. We finally sacked them as agents. They made the exit process as difficult s possible. It feels like every statement or promise made is broken or simply wrong. Signed leases not signed, deposit not passed to me to submit to a deposit scheme 3 weeks after the lease date. As for a property they are paid to manage. Tenant moved out and it took 2 weeks for them to do a condition visit. Highly inflated cleaning quote for the easy jobs and no solution for the less easy. And no effort to recover damages from deposit. Everything is too much trouble for them and it leaves you a long void...

After waiting almost 4 months for the return of our deposit, which was only achieved by legal action, I am relieved to be now renting directly from a landlord and away from the disgraceful letting service of Bridgfords. We encountered unreturned phone calls and emails on many occasions, delays in repair (no water supply for 24 hours on one occasion) - upon reporting black mould in the bedroom (health risk) we were told all houses have this. I found the professional attitude and efficency of the company and staff knowledge to be absolutely shocking. I viewed a property and asked all relevant questions. I then agreed to accept the property. The service of this company as a collective is dire. I work in customer service, and can tell you that not one of the employees has any idea what good customer service is. The ONLY person who was any help whatsoever was Emily Hughes, she is possibly the only person i would ever want to deal with from this agency (and in fact do, but i am being forced to deal with the deposits team)

for how many issues we have faced, and things not working as they should have been, AND the fact we paid all our rent on time, everytime without fail for them to dispute anything for the deposit is nothing short of insulting

when I came to this flat I paid 6 month rent in advance after 6 month contract. During this period they didn't repair the fire alarm and I wake up every night because fire alarm was noisy. For some background, I am a first-time cash buyer for a property in the ST5 area. I am STILL currently liaising with these unprofessional people. Every time I have tried to contact them over the telephone they either put me on hold or tell me they will call back and never do.
