Great if you're the landlord....awful if you're the tenant. I ended up getting my own references sorted despite having paid out for Countrywide to do this. OMG this is the worst estate agent to ever exist. Firstly they will charge you approx £400 in fees alone (the most expensive in the area) Then do not actually do anything causing endless problems (I mean they literally will not do anything). They had the wrong tenancy agreement. They had the wrong keys so we couldn't move in. They never fixed it so when a contractor came they couldn't come in. Awful, you pay the fees to be absolutely miserable throughout your tenancy Approx β€š£400 for application. But then they have loads of other fees (approx β€š£150 to sign a renewal paper), β€š£40 for references. And at the end of the tenancy they write to you saying they are going to remove β€š£40 from your desposit if you do not cancel your standing order another β€š£40 if you do not have the inventory etc. Yet all the admin errors they make they want you to correct for free! Seriously you will waste anything up to 1k for the worst lot ever if you go to them

Me and my husband were renting property in Keighley. First of all, during the property viewing agents send email 15 mins before viewing to confirm whether we are coming. We were travelling from Sheffield, and I had no internet on my mobile, just by luck I checked my husband's email and he's the driver and confirmed. Been waiting almost 4 week for bond refund. Rang Bridgfords opt1 to be told she doesnt do the refunds she cant help me although she said I would receive it within next few days which I didn't. Emailed them they replied asking for forwarding address and bank details and they were waiting for landlords consent for it to be released. This letting agency is awful. Do not waste your time!. I have been waiting 5 weeks to hear about my bond refund on a house that had been sold!! There has been days when the phones have not been switched on and when you try call it has gone through to a different office where you received the comment 'We cannot transfer you only pass on messages'. Be proffessional is that too much to ask.... aparently it is! Do what we ask. Listen to OUR needs. clearly you dont Give appropriate and timely feedback....too much to ask?? Be proactive. Dont fob lingering sales onto junior staff Dont take us for fools stating you are fully booked for Saturday viewings.... we tested you as perspective buyers of another property..... amazingly a slot was available..... checked again ... fulluy booked...

I have rented with many letting agents but these by far are the most money grabbing. They charge huge administration fees, and neglected to tell us we needed insurance until they had us over a barrel and we had parted with the administration money. Then, today we need a reference to move out of the property into another and found out they will not release a reference until we payed a further β€š£24. Awful, awful, awful, awful service and I cannot stress enough how AWFUL the service was! I am appalled by Bridgfords absolutely atrocious service and time levels it takes in dealing with simple actions such as providing out electricity meter reading. It took them three weeks to give me my electricity meter reading after constantly saying that I will receive this the next day. By the time I received it my bill had already been generated. The process was somewhat slower than initially promised, but the staff are friendly and professional/approachable and understanding and really stepped on gear to get us in. But I think perhaps the company\'s slow procedure lets them down. Absolutely disgusting. Property was infested with fleas and it took Bridgfords 2 weeks to send someone out, by which time all furniture and clothes had to be treated. Windowsill had big hole in it, fridge door was antiquated and the door was hanging off, washer/dryer did not work properly, central heating & boiler kept breaking down. having just used bridgfords in halifax for the sale of my property mainly dealt with by the manager lee moss who i found very helpful , always updating me on any news and always available to speak to or if not always returned my calls i certainly would have no hesitation in using them again....

The property I rented from bridgfords had a really bad case of mould, which made me very ill as i was also pregnant at the time, and bridgfords could not of cared any less they were useless and unreliable. The staff are rude and very poorly trained! My whole experience of renting from bridgfords was a nightmare from start to finish! DO NOT DO BUSSINESS WITH THEM!!...
