This Review is of the Property Management Department within Bournes Lettings Agent in Alton, Hants. They have repeatedly neglected to respond to reports by us the Tenants of problems with the property, maintenance issues are not dealt with, items not fit for purpose reports ignored. We recently bought a property that was marketed through Bourne. We had a very difficult time with the chain below us and Gemma was fantastic in being really pro active, keeping on top of the process the whole way and most of all being very reassuring. Jon was amazing with helping us get into a property quickly with the added bonus of sorting a property which allowed our dog. The process was so easy and everything was sorted quickly. Bourne estate agents are one of the most professional agents I've dealt with. Their honest, pragmatic and sensible approach to helping us sell our house was a breath of fresh air compared to many in Alton. From the time Andrew came to do the valuation until the sale was completed we could not have asked for better service. We have lived here for nearly thirty years so did not really know what to do or expect. I have been telling people that using Bourne's to sell my house has entirely changed my opinion of estate agents. (Really ). I am appalled by their aggressive approach and sharp practise - constantly knocking on my door and telephoning but worst of all pestering my elderly mother who shares our home and is often alone home when my husband and I are at work. Does a foot in the door and virtually forcing your way into a home against the wishes of an 83 year old lady really represent this company in an acceptable way. I regret the day I ever entered their office....

I found Jenna to be very helpful and polite and was always willing to answer questions and queries. She always returned phone calls the same day and was eager to ensure that you were kept up to date with the progress. Kieran was also friendly and helpful as he covered Jenna's holiday and I found both to be professional and knowledgeable. Bourne had the lowest of the fees being charged by Estate Agents in the area although I did find them to be very high especially when they do a minimal of paper work and I had to chase to be sent the inventory and a copy of the signed agreement. The company that they use to carry out the inventory did not complete a very thorough documentation and I had to request several issues to be added.

Overall our experience with Bourne Estate Agents was excellent. Jenna was very helpful and made sure we were kept up to date with everything and was always available to answer our phone calls. We were happy to pay the agency fees and they were very reasonable in comparison. It was just the referencing agency ( Let Risks) fees that i begrudged slightly.

Dealings on the whole with Bourne were great, I dealt with Jenna and she was fantastic. She dealt with me from the first phone call to the day we moved in. The move took longer than I think we both expected but this was due to the landlord initially being off and then some work needed doing to the house before we moved in, this was not a fault of Bourne and I could tell that Jenna did do everything within her power to help us.
