Further to the complaint below, the deposit dispute went to arbitration under the 'MyDeposits' scheme. The arbitrator awarded the landlord over 50% of the deposit in compensation for the damages to the house. ...

I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your experience with Berkeley Way. We persistently strive to resolve tenants’ issues swiftly and efficiently, and it is unfortunate that in your case, there was a latent defect in the building, which meant developers, builders and block managers needed to be involved before the matter could be resolved. I am sorry that you had a bad experience with Berkeley Way, however there are two inaccuracies in this review that must be corrected. It is sad that we have received a poor review based on something that you thought might happen - and did not! In this instance a slow leak was causing a damp problem inside the flat, which took two contractors several months to trace. When it was clear that the problem could not be resolved, your landlord agreed to release you from the contract, and your deposit w ...

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
