I have been using the Whitehaven Belvoir office for around 4 years on my 'let only' tenancy. I've had no need or desire to compare their fees with other agents fees over the years but I can recall they were fair when I first started using Belvoir.

My experience of dealing with Belvoir, Whitehaven Branch has always been posative. I have used them on multiple occasions over a number of years on a tenant find basis and have always found them to be friendly, professional and helpfull and they suceeded in finding suitable tenants for me very quickly....

Although it took a while to find the ideal tenants, which is probably the much a matter of local market conditions and property condition as it is the marketing, the new Belvoir in Whitehaven have always been very proactive with respect to property management, and rent is forwarded without delay. The former management are long gone, the branch is completely refreshed, and the opinions I have seen in old reviews are unrecognisable. We signed up with Belvoir to manage our property, outside Whitehaven, back in 2010. It took them ages to find us a tenant and actually, we referred them to the person who took the property. We live 3 & 1/2 hours drive away so had no choice but to rely on them to manage the property... We requested quotes on a couple of occasions for work which had been identified as needing to be carried out. What agent could do to change your mind?
Forward payment of the rent improved after Belvoir took over from Pamela however I have little positive to add beyond this. They got ‚£75 per month for doing very little.

I used Belvoir as as full service let for my property. Initially it went reasonable well, they found a tenant who was fine then when they left they found another tenant who wanted the property for a long period. I was happy with that and asked that a periodic rent increase in line with inflation was included in the agreement, this was not done. What a massive improvement since Belvoir took over this branch at Whitehaven from the franchisee. As a landlord I have had nothing but swift, customer friendly and professional dealings with them since then. They have kept me informed promptly of any problems the tenant may be experiencing (washing machine breakdown and later a water leakage) and have resolved these issues to the complete satisfaction of myself and the tenant. I wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole. They rented out two properties for me and I had constant problems, lost money and eventually went and picked the keys up, which they couldn't find as they had been given to a third party for some reason not explained. Promised the earth, delivered hell on earth....

Avoid this company like the plague. I have never come across a more unproffesional, rude, incompetant bunch in my life. Will cause you complete stress and hassle and arent members of ARLA so no protection when they mess up your tenancy! Completely terrible agents. Never return calls. Pay rent to me late every month I had to call them to say the rent hadnt been paid (tenant hadnt paid 2mths rent and they didnt even notice!) High turnover of staff Staff have no clue how lettings work, ob...

We are having the exact same problems with the Whitehave office, no one returns my calls, tenant hasnt paid rent and I have been told to chase it up myself (we are paying for a fully managed package!) No one ever returns our calls, I am actually sending them a phone bill to show how many calls we have made to them over the 3 months we have used them. I cannot wait until the 6 month contract is up. Never would use Belvoir again.....
