I have a very bad experience with the letting team and the property management team. They managed my property for four years. since there isn't issue with tenant at the beginning, so they just keep taking my management fee and don't need to do anything. At the third year , tenant started to report boiler not working, it took 6 months for the contractor to get it fixed. Their contractor charged me £500 to replace the heating element 27 Nov 2019 .Provide one year warranty. As it took so long to fixed the problem, my tenant decided to move out in jan2020. The flat was not let out due to covid 19. It was closed up for six months. Then I found a new tenant with another agent. My new tenant only move in a few months and the boiler element break , which is the element that Barstow Eve charge me £500 for. I contacted Barstow Eve begining of Dec 2020 and they insisted that as it is not one of the property they managed , they can't help anymore. They say I need to talk directly with their contractor who fix it. When I spoke to him, he is really irresponsible and said that there is no warranty for his work and blame other factors that cause element to break. My current management agent contractor investigate and told me there is no other factors to cause the elements to burn. It is the poor quality elements itself . I find it very disappointed with the work this contractor done , I find this company very dishonest, overcharged me and provide a substandard elements that only work for six months maximum . Besides that , when my tenant move out , they delay 4 days in carry out the check out for me because of lack of staff and causing me not allow to enter and remarket the property . They say they will charge the four day rental to tenant as tenant has to pay until the day check out is done . Until now , I didn't receive the four days rental as later on they say I need to take tenant to court to claim it back. I am not doing that of course as it is not tenant fault. I left a set of keys for the property management team and they also managed to misplaced it , causing me lots of inconvenience as I need to replace all lock . Never ever trust bairstoweves to manage your property, they only charge you fees and not doing their duty. It will cause you more pain at the end.

I received a very high level of professionalism and diligence from Simon Wildish and his team at the New Barnet branch. I was selling a property following a bereavement and greatly appreciated the support that Simon gave. I was kept advised of all developments in the process, multiple viewings were efficiently handled and offers were instantly relayed to me. I genuinely do not think I could have chosen a better agent to conduct the sale.
