Had mixed experiences so far but recently Michael charles in the Cardiff lettings support centre (sequence) was pleasantly proactive and professional when dealing with a renewals error on their part. He did z great job and I hope that the others in the team aspire to be as helpful as he is....

Terrible!! As a landlord I relied upon Allen and Harris to manage the property appropriately. The property (second floor flat) was refurbished before letting and the first tenants appeared fine. However I received regular reports that the property was 'OK' and there were no major problems. I was friendly with the neighbours and they informed me that water was leaking through their ceiling and they could smell damp. After being reassured that the property was fine I went to have a look for myse...

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid Since collecting my keys to a rented house I have been left so disappointed and really hacked off. Their property management company is VEM who are just as inadequate as Allen and Harris - they must be on a bonus to not spend the landlords money on issues that need fixing. The day after I picked up the keys (nearly 3 weeks ago) I reported a problem with the washing machine, I have been through - we'll get someone out to look, you may need a new machine, we can't do anything u...

Outrageous As there would only be 1 type of check to do as I paid 6 months in advance I still had to pay £450 for a £30 search - daylight robbery

I Left an email for Helen, to state that my rented property's boiler had malfunctioned within the same day I had a very nice plumber arrive who quickly identified the issue and had it working again and thoroughly checked it to make sure the issue was fixed. Very pleased with the service I received...

As a landlord, treated with contempt, no communications internally. Consistantly contacting to get things done. Tenants have to wait well over time limit to pay back deposits, excuses constantly & no action....

Shockingly poor levels of communication and service. Having been charged £180 by A&H for "marketing" they appear to be unable to get even the basics right when advertising the property, being sold for example whether the property is detached or semi....and what the correct price is! Agents carrying out viewings are ill prepared sometimes late, and sometimes don't turn up at all ("oh ...did we forget to tell you that the viewing had been cancelled"?) In house communi...

£180 up front (non-refundable) for "marketing" is a joke given the levels of service on offer

I arranged to view four separate houses on one busy Saturday morning/afternoon. Allen & Harris were made aware of this and the fact that I had booked my viewings in sequence so that I could get to see them all. Firstly, the agent turned up fifteen minutes late which disrupted my tight schedule. Secondly I was greeted by the agent with the words "we do not have the keys for this property, but the current tenants are aware of our appointment and will let us in". After knocking the...

I have had the worst experience unfortunately with Allen & Harris, they were very efficient on the day that I needed to view the flat, however, after that day I was on an extremely tight deadline with a new job starting and Christmas and New Year getting in the way - I had a week from taking the property to when I needed to move in which Allen and Harris were completely aware of. I had to keep phoning them to chase up my references and they never return your call, they also lied and said the...

What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent could have explained the opening hours of their accounts department and told me to have either made a bank transfer earlier on in the week so that they could have checked it was in their account or they could have told me to make a debit card payment - its frustrating because the money was already and I chose that method because I thought it would be easier and they were fully aware that I needed the keys today and that I was travelling 3 hours with a car full of stuff!!!

To Sequence Homes AKA Allen & Harris (Sent via there feedback) After renting a property through yourselves for over 3 1/2 years also being my first rented property. I would say all was fine par when I moved in the place was like a trash site. Nothing was cleaned, replaced or decorated. Then when I decided to leave the property. Never have I seen an unorganised clearly landlord biased service in getting a deposit back (The landlord hasn't made a claim yet or responded but take this as that...

After renting a property through yourselves for over 3 1/2 years also being my first rented property. I would say all was fine par when I moved in the place was like a trash site. Nothing was cleaned, replaced or decorated. Then when I decided to leave the property. Never have I seen an unorganised clearly landlord biased service in getting a deposit back (The landlord hasnΒ’Γ’β€šΒ¬Γ’β€žΒ’t made a claim yet or responded but take this as that they do just so we can extend the 10 day legal deposit return period) The 10 days are there to protect the person renting but I see you just loop hole that regardless. I feel totally let down by sequence homes and totally uncared for. Delays caused by the inventory service, multiple delays from yourselves, multiple failed communications with me. I would never use your service or recommend your service to anyone. I have always been the one to phone up and find out the bad news on the mistakes/delay which should of been communicated with me the same day by phone not a few days or Β’Γ’β€šΒ¬Γ‹Ε“a oh sorry I forgotΒ’Γ’β€šΒ¬Γ’β€žΒ’ days later by e-mail. A quote for a sink that has taken well over a week. A net curtain not even included on my inventory then telling me I have to wait to see if it ok that the landlord doesnΒ’Γ’β€šΒ¬Γ’β€žΒ’t want to claim for something they cant legally claim for anyway. I have just moved home, I am stressed in need of the money which is rightfully mine during the most crucially tight part of the year. I sit here nearly a month on with β€š£0 returned. I am not at the point of writing a formal complaint to the property ombudsman, yourselves and considering taking it to Watchdog/CAB. I wonder how many other of your EX tenants are being treated this way.

Have been renting an Allen and Harris property for the last two years. Attempts to contact them to repair faults with the property have met with silence - the broken window handle wasn't too bad, the leaking tap was costly, but probably waiting six months before we could leave the house properly thanks to the door being stuck was probably the worst. Further than that, a simple change in tenancy has cost me just under a thousand pounds because Allen and Harris have failed to provide a signed cont...
