This agency charges massive fees yet fails to deliver any kind of service. You will be chasing them from the first day, doing their work for them. Then when you come to leave, they will try and fleece you for as much deposit as they possibly can. I found my dealings with them painful and the complete opposite of transparent, you will never feel like they have any of your interests at heart. Their conduct will leave you feeling like you can't trust them....

My husband and I have recently rented a property that was managed by Accent Property. We were extremely good tenants and kept the property immaculately. We had only positive dealings with our landlord but any dealings with Accent Property gave us the impression they were in short, money grabbing. As a student, you just shouldn\'t go here. The administration fee is far too much for a student too pay and is grossly unfair. I spoke to my mother about it (as she is a landlady and very experienced in dealing with estate agents) and she could not believe how much they were asking for. What agent could do to change your mind?
Bear in mind that some of your prospective customers are students, who do not have the money or experience that your other customers may have. If you\'re going to reject tenants from renting tell them as soon as you know rather than waiting for them to get in touch, what are you paid for after all?

Accent is the kind of lettings agency which landlords love but tenants hate. A shiny office and a shiny website, all paid for by obscene fees charged to tenants. DO NOT USE - THESE ARE DISGUSTING PEOPLE. We rented a property from them, there was no inspection when we moved in, therefore I wrote a letter giving details of defects and problems. including the fact that the property was filthy dirty and the oven needed to be cleaned twice before I used it. Accent property management are not the worst but they could do better. In general they are reasonably professional but they need to treat tenants with more respect. First, they do not always give you notice of workmen visiting your property or of viewings for prospective tenants. I have five properties that are managed by Mitzi and has done for several years , she is fantastic at understanding every tenant and their respective needs for me as a landlord. She always keeps a close eye on maintenance issues and helps me find the best and most cost effective solution if a problem arises. I live at Warren Close. Accent has nothing to do with the lifts - they are the responsibility of the ENCORE estate management firm. If you didn't deal with Accent long enough to find this out, you tenancy must have been very short. If you had stayed with them longer, your review would have been very different!....

For quite some time, I have been a customer of Accent and the service afforded to me is impeccable. I have been blessed to have had Mrs Emma Hood look after my property and she consistently delivered, sorting mundane issues (broken vacuum cleaner, shower) to larger ones (big repairs). I can only speak from first hand experience, and this company and its employees are by far the best agent I have ever used. They have an excellent attitude to even the most difficult of situations, and when my tenant was late paying their rent they acted very quickly and efficiently.. Their level of legal knowledge is fantastic and I suspect the negative comments have come from those who have tried to not fulfil their legal obligations.... Try being a tenant with them the word "Knowledge" disappears. They only know the legal mumbo because they get threatened to go to court most of the time. If you knew how they had treated me and many others you would change your view on them.....

Gary has been dealing with the letting and management of my property for a number of years. He has found excellent tenants, quickly sorted out maintenance issues and kept the tenants happy so that they paid regularly and in one case renewed 4 times. I couldn\'t have received better service....

I have used Accent Property Management for a number of years and have always found their services to be extremely professional, polite and considerate. They have to satisfy their tenants and landlords both of which can be difficult to manage. As a landlord I never have any void letting periods. Our tenancy with accent has been dismal from the very start. the house was not in a clean state when we initially moved in, from mildew and lime scale to mold in the fridge. We had an inspection halfway through our tenancy and certain items were noted as damaged. Oh dear, where should I start? We've been renting in the UK (initially in London and now in Cambridge) for many years and we have never had such poor service from a property management company. Repairs take months to be repaired. Reported tiles in the bathroom coming loose from the wall back in April. Accent property, a small time local agent that proports to play alongside the big players, but ahs a complete lack of ability to match them for service, quality or professionalism. The agent showed a complete lack of professionalism, We rented a premium property, at a premium price, and recieved 3rd division service. No manuals, would turn up un-announced, would not lock up property on leaving, threatened us with regard to the deposit (incorrectly understanding the legal position).
