Found our property via zoopla app but I knew of abbotts . Sheridan from the team helped us secure the lovely two bed apartment. We got a video online view within days of enquiring and then a few days later a actual viewing so this was very prompt. We loved th property and was eager to move in and all the tenancy forms was given to us on day of view to speed up the process as she understood we really wanted it and some other poeple had viewed it. So we completed the forms and sent them off and we got again a very quick response that they had taken the property off the market for us to secure which was great news. Then the referencing part took a little time and homelet was abit persistent but Sheridan was still very patient with us and helpful. This finally was completed and we are now 2 very very happy people 1 to take this lovely property and 2 the fact that it was made as easy as possible for us to get this over the line and secure. Thankyou very much!!!!

After trying 2 other high street agents who left me frustrated and angry, I came to abbotts colchester who got me sold and helped me find my current house. Nothing but great things to say about the whole team. Professional and efficient, from start to finish. If only i used them as my first agent! Will certainly use them again. Can't recommend them enough.

Do not use this firm. Including Branch Manager no one returns your calls. They reel you in with an unrealistic price and then within 4 weeks can be looking to reduce the price by 10% and then a further 10% 4 weeks later. The Branch Manager puts together very unprofessional and poor emails. They... Read Full Review

Do not use this firm. Including Branch Manager no one returns your calls. They reel you in with an unrealistic price and then within 4 weeks can be looking to reduce the price by 10% and then a further 10% 4 weeks later. The Branch Manager puts together very unprofessional and poor emails. They really just don't care.

We were searching for our 3rd property after 2 people pulling out before, me and my boyfriend are 21 & 22 and we are first time buyers, we had all our deposit set ready, mortgage offer out ready, found a property with abbotts. To start off with they seemed really good, they set a date for our completion to get the solicitor moving quickly! Before we knew it the solicitor was asking for our search fees, we were so happy! After the last 2 properties fell through I didn't wanna get my hopes up too much, so I continued to look for more places on rightmove just incase. What I saw was shocking the place we had paid fees for us to buy, was back up for sale!! I found this on a Saturday evening so I had a long wait to call the estate agents on the Monday morning! 9am Monday morning I rung abbotts to ask them about the advert being back on, and they said oh he has decided to rent this property out. So instead of having the courtesy to call us to say he's selling, they decided to put the advert back up! I was so upset and so angry to think that a company could do that to a buyer! That has put me off using them all together, I think it's so unprofessional. For that reason alone I would not recommend them to anyone!
