What agent could do to change your mind?
I find the additional sales items that Townends offer always to be way above market value. Insurance I got at half their price elsewhere. The cleaning for a studio flat was twice the price it should have been. The monthly fee is okay, only has I negotiated hard.

What agent could do to change your mind?
- We were told it would be possible to measure up and the agency said this wouldn't be a problem. I emailed twice and rang twice before anyone came back to me. Once the appointment was set up it was for the wrong time, I never received a call back to re-arrange or apologise. - We kept being sent multiple contracts to sign on line (even after signing) and there was no explanation as to why. - The morning we went to collect the keys we were sat waiting for nearly an hour in the office as terms still weren't agreed with the landlord and the agent was stressed and a bit short with us. As a tenant this wasn't our issue and obviously didn't leave us with a great impression. - We were just handed two keys and told to go, nothing was at the house and when I asked if we needed to know anything about the house we were just told no. The back door keys also weren't where we were told. - a 50 page inventory was emailed to us and we were told it could not be posted. We had just moved in and no access to a printer, how we were supposed to comment on 50 pages on email?. After asking again it was eventually posted to us a week later. - the washing machine broke on Saturday so I contacted the agency. On Tuesday morning I had to contact the agency again as I still hadn't heard anything.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Been more transparent, charge less fees - ‚£700 is ridiculous. Presented us with a clean flat on moving day and actually repaired faults BEFORE we moved in. We have cracked windows, loose bannister, broken skirtings, broken lace curtain railings & the list continues. Mainly things that a handy man could have easily done within a week. Knowing you are moving into a dirty home with an additional list of things to do on top of the stresses of unpacking was really not pleasant. I sincerely hope that we will not be charged when we move out for these things, Townends please take pride in properties that you manage, I no longer have trust in renting an agency managed property.
