We instructed Acorn to market our flat in June. Laura was very helpful to complete the advert promptly, which looked very professional.
We were informed that Acorn already had several potential buyers ready to view the flat, so were very hopeful. We timed the sale of the flat with a holiday we had booked, to enable the estate agents complete access at any time of the day. However, in the 3 weeks we were away, we had minimal communication from them, and it transpired we only had approximately 4
I cannot over state how appalling their "service" was.
I had rented a 2 bed flat in Peoples Place for 3 years when the then landlord sold the property to another property investor.
When the new landlord took over they appointed Stepping Stones to "manage" the property. From here things started to go wrong.
Stepping Stones were slow to respond to maintenance issues and were adamant that it was perfectly acceptable to leave me without a washing machine for 2 weeks and many weeks more before th

Dear Hill & Clarke
Now that we have sold our home we are writing this to let you know that we feel very let down by Hill & Clarke letting and would never recommend you or use your services again.
Throughout the tenancy of our property it seemed that we the landlords had to jump as soon as something went wrong, but the tenants could get away with almost anything including creating damp, subletting and tempering with the electric to mention just a few. There was one occasion when the
Carter Jonas in Barnes represents exactly the type of letting agency which can make London such an unpleasant city to rent in. They breached their contract with us at the end of our tenancy and their behaviour and cavalier attitude throughout was deeply unpleasant to have to deal with.
The problems arose at the end of our tenancy, our Check Out report highlighted some minor issues in the kitchen and some cat hairs on the living room curtains. We had no issue with money being deducted from the d
The first meeting with Sandra to value our house and promote their service was fine, and the fact that JN have a team member dealing with progressions sealed the deal for us, as this meant there was someone else to do all the chasing and harrying of buyers/solicitors/brokers etc. How wrong could we be?
After the first open house we had a buyer - or so we thought. She then disappeared and JN were always unable to contact her - at the time I accepted that version of events, and subsequently a
While they were really friendly, my experience was not pleasant and I believe has cost me money.
It started off with their representative calling to the house. She was was very good with her sales tactics. She told me I would get £70k for the house and I laughed, "was you expecting more" was her reply. "No" said I, "the property is only worth £60k". "Oh no" she replied "we sold a house only across the way from here for £70k and it was not as nice as yours, (she then got the paperwork out to s
SALE OF MY PROPERTY
Tony valued my property at £160,000 and provided tips and hints on how best to get the property 'market ready'. Whilst being very professional, I found Tony to be very easy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable about the local property market.
Naturally, I wanted to get valuations off a few estate agents before deciding which one to use, so I made appointments with the other main 'high street' agent for New Moston and also for the most used online estate agents.
The other
We were really disappointed with Venmores.
Arranged flat viewing, agent knew that I was travelling approx. 20 miles. They sent me an SMS around 40 minutes before the viewing and told me that it would not go ahead if I did not reply immediately.
As I was driving, I did not find the SMS until ten minutes before the scheduled viewing when I arrived at the property. I called the agent and left a voicemail. She called back around ten minutes into the scheduled viewing time and tried to place the bl
Extremely disappointing service. The absolute worst estate agents I have ever rented through. 100% Avoid.
From signing the contracts right until finally winning our money back, a simple 12 month lease turned into an 18 month nightmare. We experienced the following on a regular basis:
- Poor communication
- Incompetent staff
- No accountability
- Scam artist behaviour
- No organisation
- No willingness to fix problems
- No rush to supply things promised in the contract
- No procedures in place
Despicable company run by incompetent fools.
Several occasions of strange workmen being in my house (including my bedroom) without my knowledge or permission.
Landlord refused to change the locks despite telling him I felt unsafe knowing these people had had access to our keys.
Email notifications consistently sent to misspelled email addresses, meaning we often didn't know when work was being done at the house.
My housemate was told more than once that the rent had not been paid when bank
