I've left an average rating for Emoov because they did save me money on the Estate agency fees, but I felt the experience was a poor one compared to a High Street agent.
The photo work and listing process was great. I was pleased with the photos, added a couple myself and the listing was approved. It went live and we got a viewing within a few hours.
We showed the buyer round the house and they decided to make an offer a couple of days later, which Emoov passed on without problems. We acce
Avoid these people like the plague. They are rude, incompetent and are purely after your money. We rented with this agency for a year and a half. We have been excellent tenants and always paid our rent on time except for the last month because the letting agents advised us to cancel our standing order. Upon moving in we spotted a few faults to the property. One being that we couldn't open some windows which we raised. It took a year for the letting agents to send a handy man to look at this. The
Overall, my experience of renting out to Northwood was not bad. On the upside, the rent was always paid on time without a problem, and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
On the downside was 3 specific matters. 1) When a water leak was reported by the tenant at 10.00 in the morning, I was only notified by another resident in the building at about 17.00, which meant more water had escaped than should have donel. It was clearly a communication problem which, after a promise by Northwood
Generally we found the agency to be very helpful and efficient.
Doug was charming and a great communicator- showing us around the property.
The majority of the steps to signing the contract went smoothly, with one hiccup during staff annual leave during which people trying to cover seemed a little confused and reference checks slowed down.
The communication from Hazel was always clear and she was very personable.
We were given lots of information about the landlords and the house which felt
Upon leaving the apartment I had rented for a year and a half with Maguire Jackson, I was told I would be getting less than half of my deposit back for false claims about how the apartment was left. Upon leaving the apartment I had the place steam cleaned at my own expense and friends around to clean (to ensure I'd know they'd have as little as possible reason to try and withhold any of my £900 deposit). So upon leaving I was more than happy that the lace had been left in a much better and clea
After nearly a year, the words "we won't discount our % commision because we're worth the extra" still ring in my ears. The initial flirtation with Intercounty in January was excellent. They gave the highest valuation, they had "their own" conveyancing team to handle the admin, they had a specialist sales progressor to deal with me day to day and then we had an offer of the asking price within 4 days. After that it went downhill fast.
We accepted the offer in early February, but struggled to co
I had a terrible experience renting a property from Elevations.
Every time we rang up about a problem with the house we were completely ignored - even when there was a leak in the roof, nothing was done about it at all.
Once we gave notice of leaving the property, they came in using their key in the day to hold viewings, without letting us know. I only found this out when I worked from home one day and an agent let himself in with a viewer.
On a rare occasion when we knew a viewer was
I chose Hatched after viewing a property that they were marketing and finding them very helpful and efficient in arranging viewings.
I had a very helpful and lengthy conversation before making up my mind to use then as my agent, which helped me to form my opinion on sale price. Once I decided to use them, they were very efficient and quick in arranging for someone to come round to take photos and do a floor plan/ description. Again the surveyor was efficient, pleasant and helpful.
The house wa
The worst letting agents I've ever used. Their communication was appalling. We asked Martin & Co if we could decorate to which they said 'yes no problem, make the place into your home'. We started decorating and had a call from Martin & Co saying the landlord was furious and they denied saying we had permission to decorate- despite the fact that we had it put on our contract. We contacted the landlord ourselves who had had no such conversation with Martin & co and said she had had nothing but tr
This was the second time we had used Roberts Newby for a house purchase having been impressed by the service received previously. The agent we knew well (Sam) had moved to pastures new and we viewed a couple of houses with Andy Toogood. Like Sam before, he was relatively new to the role but been selected for the talents I will discuss further. Andy did not judge us or our budget by car or clothes and took care to recommend properties that would fit our criteria. We had very set ideas of where we
