Grant Property
Would you use this agent again? No

Had a year of absolute HELL with this company. I CANNOT STRESS how foolish it would be to rent a property with them, and I regret doing so hugely. We had problems literally from day 1. Myself and my flatmate arrived in Dundee with all of our belongings on our agreed move in date, only to find out the flat wasn't ready to be moved in to and they hadn't thought to tell us. When we finally did move in the flat was a state. Walls were stained, the mattresses were stained and disgusting, the carpets

Intire Letting Agents, 6 Badminton Road, Bristol
Would you use this agent again? No

I was initially impressed with the letting agent's enthusiasm for our custom, and first impressions were good. They had a well presented, contemporary office with a team of smart and professional looking people. The first impression was wrong.

We paid the "holding deposit" for the property to secure it's lease to us and was told that although our home insurance would be paying the rent (we had to move out of our owned property for building work to commence), we would need to pay the holding

Rook Matthews Sayer, 84 Park View, Whitley Bay
Would you use this agent again? No

Looking at a property to rent that was marketed by Rook Matthews Sayer. The agent was relatively helpful and we completed a viewing (the agent was not present at the viewing, it was 'with' the current tenants who had to answer our questions as best as possible - not very professional).

We professed interest in renting. Everything was OK up to this point. However, although I (a middle-class southerner) was their main phone contact up to this point, I was actually making enquiries on behalf of

Douglas Allen, 1 Central Parade, Hoe Street, London
Would you use this agent again? No

The Walthamstow branch of Douglas Allen have left an awful impression in my mind. As a first time buyer I am unable (and unwilling) to participate in Sale by Tender properties, something that only this estate agent in the area is doing. This basically means that instead of the seller paying the estate agent fees (c.£10k), the buyer has to pay for it on top of all other fees.

That is their choice/business model, so I have no desire to question them on it, but I received daily sms text messa

homes4u ltd, 332 Deansgate, Manchester
Would you use this agent again? No

When I went to view the house I was told that the property was furnished. I asked the man so that means the bed, wardrobe and etc was included, he said yes but I think the tv stand and desk are the current tenants which was fine. When I ask if I have residential parking I was told that no, but you can park your car outside the house like everyone else. On moving day I opened the door to discover there was no bed, no wardrobe, there was not even any table or place where I could put my stuff. Afte

Chancellors, 212 Broadway, Didcot
Would you use this agent again? No

Chancellors are an estate agent that ripped me off and provided absolutely appalling service. They talk the talk (especially Claire), however they do not walk the walk. Initial conversations with them stated the market was extremely buoyant and they would find tenant/s soon and they had a backlog of people looking for a 2 bed. When Chancellors initially reviewed the property and reports showed the house was in very good order and they reaffirmed, they would rent it no problem and fast. First

House Network, Estate Offices, Units 13 & 13a, Radley Green Road, Ingatestone
Would you use this agent again? Yes

¢â‚¬Å“ After reviewing experiences and proposals from high street agents (who advised us at the time that 90% of residential property sold begins with an on line search by the prospective Buyer), we decided to try the more attractively priced House Network on line only marketing service.

House Network claim to post the property details on all of the most recognised UK property web sites. We checked these periodically during our time on the market and found our property details had b

Veritas Estate Management Limited, 164 King Street, London
Would you use this agent again? No

From day 1 I feel I have been lied to. Right from the onset I was told information about the property and its contents that I have later found to be untrue, I have been subject to over the top fees one being the rent in advance (to which I complained and was them told 'it was a mistake') and the correct fees applied and the holding fees do not contribute to anything more than pocket money for these vermin!

I was also given the wrong moving in date which had been issued to me TWICE and then th

Blakestanley, 11-13a Broadway Market, London
Would you use this agent again? No

Unquestionably rude, flippant and egregious attitude and conduct towards customers. These two individuals compound the parasitic reputation attributed to Estate agents. They make Foxtons look like the samaritans. I only hope these two are not a reflection of the ethos engendered by the Company or it's management.

I had arranged to view a flat with them and confirmed I was definitely gong to be there (on the day). Unfortunately I was late for the appointment by 15 mins due to tube delays an

Choices Investments, Interlet House, Park Chesterfield, Chapel Road, Smallfield
Would you use this agent again? No

I attended the Seminar with Choices and everything was very nice, they presented excellently and offered beverages and snacks. however during the seminar, i noticed that they asked who kept money in their current account ( a ploy to find out who had money THAT day to pay their ridiculous sign up fee). I was one of the individuals that did have money to hand and did not pick up on this at the time. I then went and sat down with an advisor which was very nice, but was instantly asked to join their
