Amethyst Residential Lettings, 33 Regent Street, Rugby
Would you use this agent again? No

So we moved in from a previous rented flat in a different city and due to our circumstances we needed to move in quickly. Amethyst were very quick to process our application and I am grateful for that.

The property that was rented to us was spacious and we began our tenancy without any trouble.

It had storage heating which was sufficient, though took some time to tweak to the right settings for it to be comfortable. The main issue with heating that we had was that the front door had a gap

Chancellors, 64 The Broadway, Chesham
Would you use this agent again? No

Don't be fooled by their marketing. Chancellors are one of the worst estate agents around especially if you are a tenant or a landlord renting through them. I rented from them for about three years and they were a terrible hassle both to me and the owner of the house.

This complaint about two branches, the Chesham one and their infamous Thameside Property Management department. This last one has a revolving door turnover.

My experience is in line with other negative experiences. In fact, w

Tully & Co, 157-159 Albert Road, Portsmouth
Would you use this agent again? No

I would rather hack off my right arm and be made to eat it slowly than ever be in contact with this estate agents ever again.
The property I rented had so many problems and hadn't even finished being built when I moved in with builders still working on the property right up until christmas (I moved in August).
The builders that were working on the building were completely disgusting. Making comments on us tenants which we could clearly hear calling us fat and being generally vile. When calling

Squares Estate Agents, 38 High Street, Leighton Buzzard
Would you use this agent again? No

Its easier to explain how awful Squares are if you read the letter I sent their Director. I did hand deliver a letter initially to them and it was ignored. I explained how upset I was and could they please contact me to find a solution. They ignored it.

Below is the letter to one of the directors/founders Leon Hill who came back to say, he was very surprised as he has never had any complaints previously. Clearly he hasnt come across this site then!

Dear Mr Hill,

We were due to rent 49 M

Emoov, 121 Sloane Street, London
Would you use this agent again? Yes

A friend of mine, after recently moving homes and paying out nearly £4k in fees to the estate agent, suggested to me I use eMoov to assist me in the process of selling my home.
I took that advice and I do not exaggerate when I say it was a brilliant advice.
It was a bit strange at first, no face to face like usual, but then that was good because there was no hard sell and a stranger in my home staying longer than I wanted.
I didn't take the offer up with eMoov after the first call as althou

Berkeley Way, 28 Ely Place, London
Would you use this agent again? No

5 reasons why you should NOT use Berkeley Way:
1. They'll keep your deposit
Letting agents are contractually obliged to return your deposit within 28 days. Any charge for damage to the property may be deducted and then disputed by the tenant, but the balance must be returned to the tenant. We moved out on 2 September and we are still waiting for our money 42 days later.
2. They charge you for fair wear and tear
There is a white mark on the black granite top in the kitchen. We have no idea wh

Connells, 1 Regent Street, Kingswood
Would you use this agent again? No

Upon speaking to the staff members Kat and Chantelle originally, I had no issue with the service. We arranged a viewing for the house we were interested in, and on the day, drove hours across the country as we were looking to relocate to Bristol from elsewhere. Some 20 minutes away from the viewing, we received a call telling us that they 'could not gain access to the property' and would have to rearrange. They weren't sure when for yet, but would let us know. Disappointing, but it happens.

Jacksons Estate Agents, 372-374 Garratt Lane, London
Would you use this agent again? No

Unfortunately Jacksons were pretty useless throughout our whole tenancy. The chap that showed us the flat was great - really nice guy. There were some obvious issues with the property - in particular a lot of mould on the walls and courtains in the bedroom. Apparently it would be no problem at all to have that rectified before we moved in.

Oh, and by the way, you need to pay £180 per person to sign the lease!!!

Move in day, and guess what, nothing has been done about the mould. We mention

Martin & Co, 15 Duke Street, Chelmsford
Would you use this agent again? No

Martin & Co Chelmsford are quite frankly the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I can safely advise anyone who is looking to buy/rent a new property to avoid them at all costs. Even if my dream property became available through Martin & Co, I would avoid them like the plague. They are horrendous in every aspect of their business and charge extortionate rates for a pitiful service.

From the very first communication to the last, they have proved themselves to be a t

Sell Simple Estate Agency, Stephenson House,2 Cherry Orchard Road, London
Would you use this agent again? No

Sell simple are Very unprofessional, rude and participate and encourage gazumping. I was told to put my best and final offer forward, so was the other people who were bidding on this property. This was after starting my bids early, when I was told by Anne Lecomber from sell simple that there is a lot of interest for this property and that she is asking for everyone best and final offer. We of course we all did and a day or two later I was accepted. I had Spent a hell of a lot on survey and solic
