That is my experience too. Constant lies. Didn't remove the house from the market for weeks despite the vendor telling them to. Claimed never to have received emails. Told our mortgage company that they were waiting on the vendor to confirm availability for the valuation but the vendor heard nothing and when we gave the vendors contact details to the mortgage co the valuation took place within 24 hours. As Strike don't charge commission, and make their money through added extras and referrals, why would the Strike agent intentionally play you against another seller? There's simply no financial incentive to do so.
You was probably gazumped. If an offer comes in, any agent has to present that to the seller (legally.) If the seller gets a better offer, they are free to take that offer. I know it sucks for you, but I really can't see how this is the agent's fault? ...
