Just moved into my new apartment and met Elena who was cleaning. I lived previously in other sterling De vere houses but my god is this house clean.. i was speaking with Elena and she said no it's not te house that keeps it clean, it's me... Elena makes sure all the time she cleans every single corner and always asks that if it's up to our satisfaction. Well done, I believe already I'll be having a great stay....

We reported rats in our property - after over a week of no action we went into head office to find out 'it hadn't been logged' we have emails to prove it did. We have had countless problems with our property - but because Sterling De Vere own it - they are unwilling to do anything about it....

I had previously left a five star review for Sterling De Vere. They were great until they refused to address the mold issues from no bathroom ventilation, the lack of the contractual weekly cleaning service, power outages, alarms going off inside the flat, and stolen doorbells. I went through all the proper channels. Maintenance did not even answer the emergency number! Warning, do not use these people, they are only interested in your money and will treat you like cattle. In December 2016 the house I had a room in had no water for a week and no hot water at all for three weeks. Despite constantly asking them to resolve the situation and even going to the office they had no interest in resolving the situation. There was also a leak in my room from the bathroom upstairs with soiled water, that to this day has not been fixed....

Looking at some of the dissatisfied customers reviews I was very scared to take a room.. but after speaking to Mujib Ali and his assistant Elena, I understood it's always hard to please everyone.. I spoke to Mujib for several days as I couldn't be in the office to view the house. He made my experience so amazing and so true that took the property. I wouldn't recommend renting at Sterling de Vere. They state that they will pay the deposit back within 28 days, however it is taking them more than 2 months now and I still haven't received any money. Every time you call the agency they claim that they will pay it next Friday or that they will call you back, which they don't do.. I'm also not the only one with this problem, so I would recommend renting at another agency, one who does pay your deposit back and treats you fairly....

I moved out the room on 17 December 2016. It is now 8 February 2017, so almost 2 months later!!!!, and I still have not received my deposit back. There was nothing wrong with the room when I left it and there were no outstanding invoices (we should even get extra money, because they left us with no warm water for 4 weeks during autumn). I would not recommend this agent to anyone, due to their unorganized administrative system....

Every thing was fine until I signed the contract. Afterward, I noticed that the heater was not functioning and I infomed them. They did neither fix the heater nor provided an electrical heater. I have been sleeping under cold in Winter without heating although I paid my rent. That is a very poor service....

Complaints Procedure

Here at Sterling De Vere we pride ourselves on the level of customer service we provide. However,sometimes things do go wrong and you may need to complain, rest assured we are a member of The Property Ombudsman (TPOS) and as such aim to provide the highest standards of service to all our customers. To ensure that your interests are safeguarded, we have a Complaints Process in place. The aim of this process is to resolve any issues as quickly as possible, although in the majority of cases we hope to resolve them at branch level.

Stage One - Branch Manager (BM)

The first step in dealing with a complaint is the liaison with the Branch Manager. Each of our branches are equipped with a very friendly and professional Manager who are more than capable to deal and address any complaints or issues you may have. With direct contact and swift replies, the Branch Manager is sure to do the best of their ability to resolve any problems.

Stage Two รขย€ย“ Chief Operations Officer (COO)
If you remain dissatisfied, you may then further your complaint, which must be in writing, to the Chief Operations Officer. You must write to them within 28 days of receiving the Branch response. The Branch manager will supply you with the details of the appropriate person. They will acknowledge your complaint within three working days of receipt of your letter and provide you with a full written response within 15 working days.

Stage Three รขย€ย“ Managing Director (MD)
If you remain dissatisfied, you may address your concerns in writing to the Managing Director. Your letter will be acknowledged within three working days of receipt and you will be provided with a final view written response on behalf of the Company within 15 working days of receipt of your letter.

Stage Four - The Property Ombudsman (TPO)
After you have received a response from the Managing Director, you may approach the Ombudsman if you are not satisfied with the response given. Details of how to do this are contained within the final viewpoint letter, The Property Ombudsman Consumer Guide or online at http://www.tpos.co.uk
