This agency is a night mare! All they want is money . Doesn't look after the property's and tenants , constantly questioning for the prove of payments where when you made payment to them with the reference number they can't find it. Totally mess up , staff are not friendly and constantly threatening tenants with the fees for late payment. Keep away from them as far as possible....

I lived in my house for a few years and over the years the the agency was great at solving issues in the house(e.g. Broken boiler, washing machine etc). I found that if I was polite and understanding but persistent, the staff were also polite and sorted things out. Yolanda was the one who dealt with the deposit return and that was paid to us in full. Overall, I had a good experience with the agency and would recommend it....

* Moved out a month ago AND STILL NOT RETURNED MY DEPOSIT. On top of that they tried to add charges that have no ground. Whilst still with this abysmal agency, almost zero response to any repairs/complaints about the properties and if and when they do, they feign innocence by saying they have not received any complaints and even then, still no repairs happen. It's like getting blood from stone. Awful. Absolutely awful. Good luck to the fools who end up renting with this agency....

This is without a doubt the worst agency and renting experience I have ever encountered. To begin with things were not so bad, minor issues. I went to see the property it was clear that the photos in the spareroom advert were taken several years before. In person, the furnishings looked very old and worn. The worst agency I have come across, avoid at all costs! I rented a room through SDV for nearly 2 years, during that's time I encountered a number of issues including: a broken shower, broken cooker, broken fan in the bathroom, mould in the bathroom and mould in my bedroom due to the connecting wall, no boiler which meant no heating for a month during winter, and no hot water. Complaints Procedure

Here at Sterling De Vere we pride ourselves on the level of customer service we provide. However,sometimes things do go wrong and you may need to complain, rest assured we are a member of The Property Ombudsman (TPOS) and as such aim to provide the highest standards of service to all our customers. To ensure that your interests are safeguarded, we have a Complaints Process in place. The aim of this process is to resolve any issues as quickly as possible, although in the majority of cases we hope to resolve them at branch level.

Stage One - Branch Manager (BM)

The first step in dealing with a complaint is the liaison with the Branch Manager. Each of our branches are equipped with a very friendly and professional Manager who are more than capable to deal and address any complaints or issues you may have. With direct contact and swift replies, the Branch Manager is sure to do the best of their ability to resolve any problems.

Stage Two รขย€ย“ Chief Operations Officer (COO)
If you remain dissatisfied, you may then further your complaint, which must be in writing, to the Chief Operations Officer. You must write to them within 28 days of receiving the Branch response. The Branch manager will supply you with the details of the appropriate person. They will acknowledge your complaint within three working days of receipt of your letter and provide you with a full written response within 15 working days.

Stage Three รขย€ย“ Managing Director (MD)
If you remain dissatisfied, you may address your concerns in writing to the Managing Director. Your letter will be acknowledged within three working days of receipt and you will be provided with a final view written response on behalf of the Company within 15 working days of receipt of your letter.

Stage Four - The Property Ombudsman (TPO)
After you have received a response from the Managing Director, you may approach the Ombudsman if you are not satisfied with the response given. Details of how to do this are contained within the final viewpoint letter, The Property Ombudsman Consumer Guide or online at http://www.tpos.co.uk
