We approached Smith & Gore to sell for us a disused farm inside the village boundary. , we drove twice the 75 miles journey to see them and to keep the appointments made to discuss the intended sale, the first appointment was wasted, their agent/rep /manager was not there, so we had to make a ... Smith's Gore are the land agents for the Crown Estate and are an absolute nightmare to deal with. They very rarely reply to an email, they take an eternity to make a decision over anything, they never return a phone call. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
