I was helping my friend to rent a property back in december 2009, dealt with a number of crooks in sheldon bishop namely, Paulo, Paul Marks, Archie. I am completely shocked at the service given by Sheldon Bishop to both myself, as the tenant, and our landlord. Despite our landlord specificially requesting a certain type of tenant, she was assured that we were a 'perfect fit'. This was sadly not the case (without any slight on either our landlady or ourselves). Requests for removal of items in the property were completely ignored and not mentioned to the landlord. What agent could do to change your mind?
- ensure that ALL information is relayed between landlord and tenant - process and provide documentation in a timely manner - pay more attention to your clients' needs and less on simply 'getting your cut'

Sheldon Bishop were shambolic from start to finish. A list of improvements that we asked for before we moved in was ignored, and when we did move in not only was the inventory missing but food, clothes and a full bin had been left by the previous tenants (despite promises of a professional clean). In response we DO NOT MANGE this property and so were unable legally to write a reference for this tenancy as we couldn't confirm the payments were up to date as we are not in receipt of this reference. As we indicated to you on e mail which we are happy to provide to confirm this, the landlord was in Cyprus and so she was unable to do the reference we called her to get authorisation to do this and when we eventually got through to her we received a positive response from her. Sheldon Bishop do not satisfy their obligations as estate agents while negotiating on behalf of prospective tenants. They are happy to show other people around a property that is under offer and in my case they were either acting dishonestly or incompetently. Either way they lacked communication skills and wasted my time....

The service was awful. The appliances in the flat were in a terrible state and every time this was mentioned to Sheldon it was effectively ignored for as long as possible. Our oven remained broken for 4 weeks of badgering before it was fixed. They were always rude and at one point even the manager swore at me and hung up the phone. The problems didn't stop after we left as they made getting the damage deposit back very difficult and eventually took money off us for a washing machine that w...

We conduct and administer thousands of tenancies and luckily precious few end up with this sort of feedback.
