I am a Canadian who had just arrived in England with a pet dog. Without a rental history in England, and having a large dog (who is perfectly behaved) I was treated almost like vermin by some other agents. A couple made a feeble attempt at getting me a rental, but only Seekers kept an open mind, met with me, and worked hard to assure the landlord of a property I loved that it was safe to take the chance on me. The landlord won't regret it, and neither will Seekers. I am just so grateful that...

i called the Sutton Branch who never answer the phone so i called the Erdington branch. I called again and again for the property and they were very unhelpful as we wanted to view a house that had tenants but they could not let anyone see the property as the tenants would not let anyone in - i am not surprised the way they are totally unprofessional as they never call you back with an update and very vague on the phone with no sense of urgency. I made and offer without seeing the property on th...

A truly awful company to deal with! It was a nightmare to arrange a viewing of the property we wanted to see but we persevered and after eventually viewing it decided to make an offer. We had to continually chase them to see if our offer had been accepted. The dopey girl who answered the phone at the Erdington office always had an excuse that the person dealing with it 'had the file with him at the other office' (in Sutton Coldfield) which seemed a bit odd as the property we were interested in w...

My house had been on the market for over 2 and a half years we saw the estate agent a maximum of 8 times the rest of the time we showed people round. They are extremely pushy when it comes to the mortgage even thought we already have one they were insisting on sending someone out. It has taken from April til 30 October to complete the sale of our property. It is very difficult to get hold of anyone who is responsible for anything when you call. The final straw was they quoted a fee and have now ...

I am currently in a dispute with seekers over my deposit £750 which they will not give back.they will avoid calls and when you manage to catch someone they have no shame and will lie through their teeth just to keep your money.I have done some research into the property lettings field or whatever you choose to call it and it is not regulated and not covered by any legislation. I have contacted the police they cannot do a thing .they have told me to contact the citizens advice and they in t...

I am having the same problem they don't want to pay the deposit back, avoid phone calls, and when you finally get to speak to someone they make up whatever excuse they can think of, like we don't have your bank details, we have to deduct this and this from your deposit (when initially they confirmed there would be no deductions), etc. I will be taking it to Ombudsman and to court if I have to.....

Seekers estate agents are an absolute disgrace. I moved into my property on 8th Dec 2012. My intercom did not work nor did my extractor fan in the kitchen. I had not received copies of the contract I signed nor an inventory. I didnt even have a fob given to me to get in the gates at the start. I sent numerous emails and called hundreds of times. My intercom was eventually fixed in October 2013. 10 months later after pestering them. My boiler has been broken since the beginning of Dec 2013. Thi...

I\'ve been a tenant in one of their properties for two years and one time my power went in my house during the weekend and since they did not give me an emeergency contact telephone number to ring I was stranded as I did not have the landlord\'s number as well. I had to look for electricians myself to do the repairs and when I contacted them on Monday, I was told to hand in the invoices for the works. The landlord refused to pay the whole bill but part of it as he stated that I should have a...

I moved out on time. I had been renting the property for almost 10 years and every payment was on time. Anyway, Seekers knew that I was entitled to my deposit and the amount. Mr Martin claims to have lost all trace of my deposit because the company had been bought out. I didn't know that he is the one, allegedly, that bought it out. Months later, countless phone calls have taken place. Mr Martin has never once contacted me back. I have not received my deposit back. I was told that I shoul...

I have just experienced the same, by law your deposit should be held in tenancy deposit scheme, if not they have broken the law and you are entitled to up to 3x your deposit back, as soon as i wrote (recorded delivery) and requested this information my deposit was returned, don't give up, tha'ts what they are hoping you do, good luck....

I have been traumatised by this company. They are rude, irresponsible bullies. They landed me with a tenant and totally ignored my requests such as non smoking, not on benefits as this was against the terms of my mortgage lease. They ignored my requests for further information and returned the tenant's deposit without my knowledge. The company is under new management but this new team leaves much to be desired. Take my advice and steer clear of this company....

This is by far the worst agency i have come across. The staff are not trained, the director had employed teenagers to do his work for him. the service is shocking, no customer care is taken, my funds have vanished on a number of occasions, probably to fund Mr Martins bills. I have never met such a nasty man, he is obviously in way over his head with this company and i warn the public to steer clear....

My husband visited the above property yesterday after arranging to meet an agent there at 4.15pm. He was told another person was viewing at 4.30pm. We liked the property and wanted to hold it with a depostit so the agent could carried out the appropriate references and contact the landlord regarding some questions. We were told there was no need to give a deposit and that the agent would let us know this morning after speaking with the landlord. I had not heard anything and at 11am today ph...
