My property was managed by the lettings office in Springhead for 18 months. The service and response levels of the team were poor and the team didn't respond in a timely manner to the tenant either. When I emailed to say I was ending my agreement as a result of the poor service they insisted on the full 3 months despite the fact they were in my opinion breach of their contract. This review relates to a new build property on a small development. On reserving the plot at the agents head office, we found them to be very friendly and helpful and they offered to keep us updated on all the stages of the development up to legal completion. Plus points: Call centre to handle branch calls to extend call handling hours is a very handy service and unique. Bad points: We felt rushed out of our house even without a house to go to by ryder and dutton, no consideration for our family with a young daughter, just pushed to close the sale with little consideration of impact on us. Also when initially struggling to find interest in our property the agent struggled to come up with any ideas to help....

We appreciate your comments and are glad you found our Centro Team extended operating hours useful and effective. It is unfortunate that you felt Ryder & Dutton were responsible for rushing you out of the property but the sale was agreed by yourselves on the basis of being prepared to move and the date of completion set by the builders of the property you were purchasing, not by ourselves as we were not involved in your onward purchase. Personally found the experience poor, my property was up for sale with Ryder and dutton for 6 months without 1 viewing. I gave them notice so I could go with another agency and they then got me 1 viewing which sold the property! If they had pushed the property more in the early stages then it possibly would of sold sooner as with 1 viewing it sold!! I only think they pushed a viewing because i have them notice and they wanted the selling fees..... Would never use this company again!...

I am a BTL landlord looking for further properties and requested a viewing of the Property in Ashton for either Saturday 17th Jan or Sunday 18th Jan. I was told this was not possible and so arranged a viewing for Tuesday 20th at 3.30pm. I arrived at the property on Tuesday the 7th at 3.20 pm but by 3.35pm there was no sign of the viewing representative. What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent could have shown some basic manners and common sense and either not booked the appointment in the first place, having made the appointment made sure that they cancelled it with me, or perhaps used a garage who supply courtesy cars so that viewings were not affected.

Sophie was generally helpful. We traveled from the Channel Islands to complete sales and needed to inspect property before completion. We wanted to just have a quick measure up and way up which tradesmen we needed first as we wanted everyone ready for the next time we came back to the property. I was a tenant with Ryder and Dutton for just over 18 months. In that time we have been exceptional tenants, rent always on time and leaving the property immaculately clean and fully decorated. The problem arouse on leaving the property. We waited for our Bond back but never received this. My partner first of all tried to contact them who just kept telling her lies. When coming to view the property; me and my partner asked for application forms and was told the application fee was £90. We completed the forms and went to the Ryder and Dutton office to hand them in; once there we were told the application fee was £90 each! I feel that my partner should not have had to pay the full £90 as he was already renting a property with Ryder and Dutton and therefore they would hold landlord details. The staff at Ryder & Dutton (Halifax) are mostly helpful but certain members - mainly the Mortgage Advisor (MA) was at times pretty useless. Often we were "misinformed" - to put it lightly - about the stage the buying process was at. It also took a long time for the MA to admit mistakes he had made.
