Terrible let down and disgraceful service. I was due to view a property on Saturday morning 5th November when I received a call to cancel the appointment as the property wasn't ready yet. When I rang back to ask if we could still view the property as my husband questioned it the lady that answered said something about the landlord having the keys and that she would ring me back and never did. Nor did I receive a phone call Monday to re-arrange as promised. As reading from the other reviews which...

Comment on agent fees
I have not dealt with this agency before (and I wont be) but as so many other reviews have said they charge for renewal of contracts when they already have charged for credit checks and admin fees initially, so effectively charging for your signatures!

I am very sorry you have felt let down by our service, this would never be our intention. We had to cancel your appointment on Saturday as our cleaners had the keys to do an end of tenancy clean. My colleague whom you spoke to on Saturday would have called you to re-arrange the appointment once the keys were returned. The keys were returned late on Tuesday, but unfortunately the staff member in question does not work Wednesdays and did not pass a message on to anyone to re-arrange this for he....

From beginning to end with this company I have been messed about. Went for a viewing of 2 flats next door to each other to be told I was only seeing the one flat. Then I told them that I do not wish to move until end of July due to a change in job which they then advised me to go for a flat that still had a tenant in who was due to move out as decoration work would need to be done and a move in date that I wished would be available. I then went to a viewing of this flat on Saturday which NO ONE ...

As a solicitor who specializes in commercial property work, I have frequent dealings with agents but very rarely residential agents. Accordingly when I came to sell my own property, i was guided by recommendations rather than personal experience. I was thoroughly delighted with the service I received from Robert Watts. My initial contact was with James Watts who remained fully aware of what was happening but the day to day conduct was handled by Kayleigh Sebastenelli. I cannot speak highly e...

Me and my partner moved into a property in August last year, after around a month we started to notice damp conditions (small, water marks on the walls and ceiling) and this was mainly worse in the loft and main bedroom. I cintact we RW and was told someone would be coming out. I was sent premier preservations who told me it was my fault and I was to open windows when heating was on this seems ridiculous?! Anyone with much going back and forth, I sent photos to the office to which I was told it...

We were charged ‚£95 per person for credit checks and references. Although only my partner had the checks done. I was named as additional tenant and not the main occupier. Robbed us of ‚£95!

Having rented properties for many years as a tenant, I have to say every single dealing with Robert Watts and especially Hilary has been amazing and stress free. From booking a viewing to signing for the keys we were kept in the loop and they covered everything for us. Customer service like this is rare to find in such a competitive business, but it has promoted me to write a review and to thank them. Pleasure to deal with and the communications have been prompt and I have never had to chase ...

Having sorted out a number of sensitive problems regarding tenants I can only praise the work of the Robert Watts team and particularly Kate Watts who have dealt with these matters in a very professional manner. It is not always easy to deal with some situations and I feel easier with the backing of a good team....

I am renting a property from Watts in Cleckheaton in the interim to buying another property. The whole experience has been awful, the management have come across as defiant, rude and cocky with little or no respect shown to me as a paying tenant. The house was filthy on moving in and I took it upon myself to thoroughly clean and keep the home as nice as possible considering the state of the property. I picked the house because of the location it was near to my Mum who recently had an operation ...

AVOID!! Robert Watts are the worst estate agents going. We rented a house for a year with them and we reported several things that we thought needed fixing and they did NOTHING! So after a year we needed a bigger house so found one under Robert Watts Again. A perfect family house with a huge garden. WORST decision we could of ever made. They are only bothered about making Money and not bothered about their tenants. They do nothing but mess you around. Tell you that you can move in on one date,...

I rented my apartment with Robert Watts for just over 5 years. Throughout this period, they were very helpful and I found them to be very supportive. Unfortunately when I moved in I had a noise nuisance neighbour, Robert Watts dealt with this issue immediately and continued to work with the neighbour until he was eventually served notice to leave his property. They have conducted regular visits to check my property and have always been accomodating for my availability, as I work full time. There...

I had a terrible experience with this people. They are Rude, unethical, "*", money minded and have no moralities. "*" had no values at all. my case is as follows, I am a resident a London. I had purchased a business in Keighley and so would like to move from London to Cleckheaton or Gomersal. I was searching for the property online and also on the streets. In the process, I came across Roberwatts website. By seeing the history and reputation of the company, I immediat...

I was interested in renting this property from them but then found out they use Tennant\'s deposits to refurbish houses even when Tennants leave properties in good order, undamaged and clean. I will not use them now as I am afraid of not getting my bond back....

After moving into my property on the 9th august and reporting an issue with the fire 2 months later and still no working fire i am being forced to use the heating just to warm one room. They had tried to charge estate agent fees for when on the advertisement there were no fees present. When i asked ahout locks on the windows and an alarm i was told no. Recently there has been a number of break ins arround our area and still no movement on making the property more secure. They are only interes...

Be very careful this agent will not act in any shape way or fashion on your behalf, the Landlord and or Landlady still call the shots, all this agents want is lettings commission. On move out the landlord or landlady will not be present, however they will lay charges at your door to try to get bond money from you after move out. On most occasions they will get part of bond back because most tenants need the bond back quickly therefore forfeit some of the bond money otherwise your money is st...

These agents are the most incompetent set of individuals I\'ve dealt with in my entire professional and private life. They are liars and also don't care about or listen to customers. They talk at you like you are retarded and never listen to what you are saying. Moved into the house I rented after much hassle. There were existing defects with the property and none of these got rectified after I raised it on numerous occasions. When I handed in my notice stating the reason why I was leaving I was...

What agent could do to change your mind?
1. Get the defect sorted through the landlord instead of telling lies about the parts turning up a week earlier. 2. Actually care that I was moving due to a breach on their part and making it smooth 3. Booking all prospective tenants viewing, communicating to me and turning up at the viewings. 4. Supplying the correct information about getting my deposit returned.

I have had a similar experience with Robert Watts, Money from bond taken after end of tenancy by the landlord to cut council shrubs outside property, Council agree landlady could not do this, Robert Watts Backed her up 100%. LIKE IT or LUMP IT ATTITUDE TOWARDS TENANTS, so long as they get their commissions. Never Use These Again....
