I rented with Tony Newman estate agent, I would never recommend them to anyone. At the beginning it was all good untill we paid the deposit and rent. All our complaints fell on deaf ears about the property, we had to literally beg to fix the hot water issue in the bathroom. Worse off is when the landlady took over the rent and gave us quit notice when we requested for a new washing machine and fridge as the one in were having issues. She came, took measurements and next 2 weeks served us quit notice. I have never experienced such rude response from Tony Newman himself over the phone whenever I reported anything,he sounded very rude and unkind. After stressing to lift our properties across a flight of 44 steep stairs and we complained about wrong epc rating they had provided after moving in, he walked us out of his office, shouting that we should go get another house as other people need houses. He told me that I would have to pay £50 pounds to a handi man to check out the heating. I m to pay £23 for soft copy check in inventory report. I can go on and on Summarily,it was a bitter experience compared to the great one Leaders letting offered the previous year. My colleagues at work never spoke well about them.
