I had dealings with your company in 2010. I was going to move into a property in Oliver Court Gosport. I signed the agreement on the evening I saw the flat and came back the following day to view the property again, the downstairs door , the main entry to the property was wide open and mail was all over the floor , hasten to add OPEN!
One of the mail boxes had been damaged, it was to the flat that was to be mine, I picked up the mail and read some of it, the mail showed that the last tenants had taken out bank loans and not paid anything back, the loans had been given to a collection agency to recover, there was also unpaid bills for all the service providers, gas, electricity, water. It got worse, when I entered the flat I found more mail for the last tenants, more reminders for unpaid bills plus more loans , bank cards ect, also a letter from the bailiff who must have called round to try to collect money.
Having reviewed my position, I did not move in and told PA homes my reasons, it is now 2014 and Gosport council have told me to pay council tax on this flat to the tune of £186 54, or they will send the bailiffs round. Couldn't make this up could you. PA homes told me in 2010 that they would write to Gosport council and sort it out for me. THEY DID NOTHING TO HELP but sat back and denied every thing.
I cancelled the contract within the first twenty four hours, this must be within any cooling off period!! and valid reasons for cancellation, so I advise you to look at other agents for property to rent
