We viewed the property, a beautiful three bedroom semi-detached house in Coventry, and had decided that we were going to take the let. However, when we arrived at the letting agents to put down a holding deposit, we found out their fees are astronomical! For three persons sharing they wanted £894 (£150 for an 'Application Fee' pp, £49 'Administration' pp, and £99 for the 'Tenancy Agreement' pp), all of which was totally non-refundable under any circumstances. This is just under three times the amount charged by many other local agents "*". None of these fees are advertised with the property, and so one must be confronted with them under the pressure of the letting agent. For this reason I decided, so that others may be forewarned before entering the agents chamber!

I have been dealing with this company for more then 5 years and they have always put in good direction and found good tenants.

Appalling service. Had numerous problems with our rental property, in calling the office staff were out of the office and calls were not returned. Finally arranged for someone to come and fix issue and waited in all day, no one turned up.

this is false information,
as agents we do not pay for repairs as it is landlords job, it does not cost us nothing to repair. ...

Absolutely terrible letting agent. They make you pay for the application first (it's non-refundable as well) and then they tell you that if you want a house you need to pay another fees. Ridiculous. Also when I moved out I never got my deposit back ...

I gave one star only because there is no option for zero. Terrible agents. Do not under any circumstances enter into any sort of agreement with them. Their 'service' is disgusting, once they have your money they have absolutely no interest in you....

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
