Having just exchanged contracts on the sale of my Grandfathers home I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts on my experience in dealing with the staff at Hamptons namely Mel and Scott. I hope that this can be shared with other local people when making the decision of who to market their property with. Wigmore House has been a part of our family for many years, and as you may expect it has been very emotional for all of us involved.
I should point out that I work in estate agency myself (as such I am a hard man to impress), and am more than aware of the reputation the industry has, sadly this reputation is often lived up to by companies, but I am happy to say that this was far from the case with Hamptons.
Following discussions with three local agents our family decided to appoint Hamptons in the sale of my grandfather's property. With several family members involved it was a challenging logistical task, but one which was dealt with flawlessly from beginning to end, we definitely made the right decision when instructing Scott.
Before the property was even live online I received a call from Mel explaining that they had several interested parties viewing the property, and that one buyer in particular stood out to her. It did not surprise me (although did impress me) with such a clear grasp of her buyers requirements that this interested party resulted in an offer very quickly, this offer was swiftly accepted following excellent negotiation skills, and the property was sold for significantly more than two other agents had advised. It is clear to me that this result was driven purely by Mel's expertise, and she had pro-actively gone out to find the right buyer for us.
Throughout the sales process the communication from Mel was always professional and detailed. There was never a moment where we were not kept informed, and any time a query was raised all the staff in the office were always extremely helpful and friendly. It is refreshing to have such a professional, friendly, and talented person dealing with the transaction, and I am sure that I will not have been the only person to notice this. Mel is a true asset to Hamptons, and I am certain that her career will continue to be a success with the proactive customer orientated service that she delivers. Mel is the complete opposite of a ¢â‚¬Ëœtypical estate agent' she is approachable, professional, and extremely effective at her job. If there is any form of staff member award I would like to recommend Mel for her service during our sale.
I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Scott and his team at Hamptons, as they have truly lived up to our best expectations. In the modern world customers are often left feeling like a number on a spreadsheet somewhere. Our experience in this sale was far from that, it was clear to me that we were being looked after as individuals, and that the service being provided was of great importance.
I would like to sincerely thank everyone involved in the sale of Wigmore House, and wish you all the best. It is unlikely that we will deal with the office again as we live in a different area of the country, but I hope that my recommendation helps other people when making the hugely important choice of who to market your home with. If you instruct Scott and his team I can assure you that your impressions of estate agents will never be the same again.
