I have used Whitefield to let two of my properties for almost two years and I have not received any rent from Whitefield for over three months. The tenant has always paid on time.
Whitefield have always been slow in forwarding the rent but the but the situation is getting worse.
The staffs have always been helpful and courteous in all my dealings with Whitfield.
I would strongly advice any landlords to stay well away for this company.
What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent has been contacted on a number of occasions regarding late forwarding of rent and the problem keeps reoccurring.

i play darts regularly with the lettings manager callum and he is a top bloke and as honest as the day is long.he personally assured me that not a waking moment passes when he does not experience the soul wrenching pain of those who have lost money.once he stepped down from his cloud and said money and competency are mere words

Following a very difficult period of trading, and attempting to resolve several historic difficulties, Whitefield Properties (UK) Limited was indeed placed into administration. These issues had been generated from the lettings section of the business. This action was not taken lightly and huge efforts had been made in order to avoid the eventuality.

All statements, certificates, keys and other items were returned to landlords or their new agents as swiftly and smoothly as possible. At no point was any property managed by ourselves left without cover in any of these areas. Refunds have been arranged for payments received after the administration date and many other efforts have been made by staff member to assist both landlords and tenants in any way possible.

Client losses were kept to a minimum where possible and the numbers affected reduced by a sale being agreed to enable the Sales Business to continue to perform to its usual high standard and prevent historic lettings issues from endangering all clients. A core lettings business is retained in order that the many landlords wishing to stay have continuity of service and are not left without agency.

Whilst it is very unfortunate that anyone has to suffer, financial loss, the Director/s sought the best advise after being instructed to do so by their accountants. The process of administration is a legally regulated one and must be followed with care and accuracy. Begbies-Traynor Group are highly respected professional administrators with experience of other similar situation with local estate agents.
It is quite clear that the only alternative to the action taken would have been for the business to close and all 800 clients being left with greater losses and a dozen staff being left jobless through no fault of their own.
Although this is far from an ideal solution for some, it has not been an easy option for anyone involved. To wish further damage on staff members or hundreds of other clients seems a spiteful & false exercise.
All are hoping to continue deliver the same high quality sales service from the branches at Leek, Milton & Crewe.
