Just found out that Whitefield properties of milton now trading as Whitefield have just taken all their landlords for thousands.
It seems they sold out to themselves while pocketing all our cash and after talking to the administrator it seems that they sold it to themselves so cheap that we won't get a penny.
Please please please keep clear of this business for your own financial well being.

This response is a joke. You have handled monies illegally as rent money owed to landlords should have been held in a separate account and therefore not involved in the insolvency. You also acted illegally by not protecting tenants deposits. You lied constantly to landlords to delay rent payments so that you could glean as much money as you could for your own ends. The only reason David Whitefield wanted to protect his staff is that they are all his family members. The work carried out at the property was totally sub standard and I have found out from my tenants that an apparent 'professional carpet cleaning service' that I was charged over £200 for was in fact Tracey Whitefield going in with a Kirby cleaner!! The paining and decorating was also done by a family member on the pay role, needless to say he was not a tradesman. This company is a total joke and should not be trusted. The fact that the Property Ombudsman's logo is on the web site is just another lie as LMC Sales has not yet been registered with them, no doubt to try and avoid any complaints......unlucky, they have agreed to investigate your corrupt business anyway.

Following a very difficult period of trading, and attempting to resolve several historic difficulties, Whitefield Properties (UK) Limited was indeed placed into administration. These issues had been generated from the lettings section of the business. This action was not taken lightly and huge efforts had been made in order to avoid the eventuality.

All statements, certificates, keys and other items were returned to landlords or their new agents as swiftly and smoothly as possible. At no point was any property managed by ourselves left without cover in any of these areas. Refunds have been arranged for payments received after the administration date and many other efforts have been made by staff member to assist both landlords and tenants in any way possible.

Client losses were kept to a minimum where possible and the numbers affected reduced by a sale being agreed to enable the Sales Business to continue to perform to its usual high standard and prevent historic lettings issues from endangering all clients. A core lettings business is retained in order that the many landlords wishing to stay have continuity of service and are not left without agency.

Whilst it is very unfortunate that anyone has to suffer, financial loss, the Director/s sought the best advise after being instructed to do so by their accountants. The process of administration is a legally regulated one and must be followed with care and accuracy. Begbies-Traynor Group are highly respected professional administrators with experience of other similar situation with local estate agents.
It is quite clear that the only alternative to the action taken would have been for the business to close and all 800 clients being left with greater losses and a dozen staff being left jobless through no fault of their own.
Although this is far from an ideal solution for some, it has not been an easy option for anyone involved. To wish further damage on staff members or hundreds of other clients seems a spiteful & false exercise.
All are hoping to continue deliver the same high quality sales service from the branches at Leek, Milton & Crewe.

Whitefield Properties have a sale / completion rate that rivals or exceeds all major estate agents, for our fixed fee of £399. Sadly not every house will sell or generate huge interest, it is never for the lack of effort on the part of the superb sales team. We have over 200 live properties for sale and regularly achieve a higher % month on month property sales than others charging 1-2% thus saving clients £1000's. ...
