Used them as a letting agent for almost 2 years now. Started off ok, but have declined severely in the standard of their service in the last 6-8 months.
They haven't paid on time since September 2013, and managed to miss January and Feburary rent payments entirely, bundling it all into March's after a lot of complaining. This isn't as a result of the tenant being late either.
Also, they won't hand over copies of the rental agreement or the alleged copy of the Gas Safety Certificate they supposedly hold.
I strongly recommend you go elsewhere, or deal with the tenant yourself, it'd be less of a headache.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Paid the rent on time, supplied copies of paperwork when asked. Returned phone calls, and provide feedback when asked.

All statements, certificates, keys and other items were returned to landlords or their new agents as swiftly and smoothly as possible. At no point was any property managed by ourselves left without cover in any of these areas. Refunds have been arranged for payments received after the administration date and many other efforts have been made by staff member to assist both landlords and tenants in any way possible.
Client losses were kept to a minimum where possible and the numbers affected reduced by a sale being agreed to enable the Sales Business to continue to perform to its usual high standard and prevent historic lettings issues from endangering all clients. A core lettings business is retained in order that the many landlords wishing to stay have continuity of service and are not left without agency.
Whilst it is very unfortunate that anyone has to suffer, financial loss, the Director/s sought the best advise after being instructed to do so by their accountants. The process of administration is a legally regulated one and must be followed with care and accuracy. Begbies-Traynor Group are highly respected professional administrators with experience of other similar situation with local estate agents.
It is quite clear that the only alternative to the action taken would have been for the business to close and all 800 clients being left with greater losses and a dozen staff being left jobless through no fault of their own.
Although this is far from an ideal solution for some, it has not been an easy option for anyone involved. To wish further damage on staff members or hundreds of other clients seems a spiteful & false exercise.
All are hoping to continue deliver the same high quality sales service from the branches at Leek, Milton & Crewe.
