As a first time buyer I approached many estate agents to find a property. Pattinsons went out of their way to help, however, they pointed me in the direction of a property up for auction and ensured me I could buy it as a normal sale as it had not done very well at auction. Yes my experience with this company has been really bad too. I was mislead into believing my house would go to auction,
Maria stated I was too late for the September auction but would be OK for the October auction.
Well roll on 12th December and I am free of this company.
The online auction is an absolute joke, if somebody offers the price you have to accept it, fees are around £4000 more than selling normally.
Do not sign up for the auction beware - I was conned.

An agent is just there to arrange viewings and qualify offers and track progress. The solicitors and you would have all had a particulars of sale letter saying who the buyer is and at what price etc and this is where your chosen solicitor or conveyancer has to take over. Of course the person at the bottom of a chain has to sell and complete first for their money to hit the next persons bank account and so it passes up the chain. It is impossible to give a firm completion date as one tiny glit ...
