Agent postponed viewing by 1hr, with no real explanation. They then arrived 10 mins late, did not acknowledge me in the car park until beckoning with a head nod to the side to enter. Seemed not to know much about property at all & did not talk me round the property. Viewed property 1 wk before needing to move in so on tight time scale. This in mind ....
Whites sent forms for me to complete to incorrect email address, they did not check until eleventh hour & then I was forced to rush sign & fax through 4 days before move in date. Whites failed to point out 5 day credit clearance terms for deposit (I should have noticed this (in the rush) they say) & this caused problems on move in day as I had no other means to pay. 3 days later on the morning before due to move in, Whites phoned to say not all info had been received from the ref agency. In the end I had to spend all that day plus all the following morning, whilst driving a considerable number of miles to move in to the property, on the phone (hands free!) chasing all the information that I had paid Whites a £210 admin fee to manage. Completely inefficient & non caring about the whole incident. I arrived in office to collect keys & Manager was EXTREMELY rude & aggresive when I commented that I was not impressed by their handling of the situation & threatened to not allow me to move in to the property
Thereafter Whites demeanour has been threatening, unhelpful, inconsiderate and lazy. They have not disclosed my rights & are on the verge of bullying. It took me 3 weeks to convince them that they had not given me the correct keys in order to check utility readings & I remain suspicious of their motives. They believe they will be at liberty to access the property with their keys in my absence & refuse to make arrangements to inspect at my convenience around work hrs. They have made what should have been a very exciting experience into a miserable one.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Remembered that I am their customer & paying them a decent chuck of money to facilitate my move.
