This estate agent is nothing but a disgrace.
Went to purchase a house on my road; it needed a fair amount of work to be done and had been empty for a long while.
Put an offer in that was about 5% lower than the asking price back in Nov 07.
Agency was an absolute disgrace. I got calls from various EAs telling me that the owners were old and that my offer was nothing short of theft.
The owner / EA still continued with the sale but the final straw came when the EA called me and said that I had 30 days to complete the sale or the house will not be available and the asking price will be offers in excess of the market price.
Funniest thing was when they call me to tell me 30 people where going to see the property over an open weekend. We live opposite the house, no one has been there since we put the offer in.
Disgraceful company and let's home they got out of business with the Credit Crunch.
