Don't believe a word they say, they are utterly incompetent. I'm not in the habit of contributing to online blog sites etc, but felt that other people should know what they are letting themselves in for dealing with this company.

This is just 1 example:
During the original viewing for the flat we are renting, we had a 'minor' problem pointed out to us and were assured that it would be fixed before we moved in. Needless to say it wasn't, and has turned out to be a much more serious problem than they thought. If they'd taken the time to bother dealing with it when they promised they would, we would have found this out before any money changed hands and steered well clear. We even had a pre-tenancy agreement drawn up to protect ourselves, which all parties signed. When it came to call upon said agreement, I was told it meant nothing and the G&C employee responsible for drawing it up, shouldn't have done so, and was legally worthless (it isn't, but I'm not about to pay a lawyer to prove it, and companies like this know it). After 3 months of stress whilst they laboured over getting the problem fixed, we were told we had to move out for 2 weeks whilst 'major structural works' were completed. This was 2 months ago, and I've just received an email ordering us to pay back rent arrears - for the time we didn't pay rent whilst we lived at a friends whilst the work was being carried out. So here we go again.

Their lack of professionalism and sheer incompetence has proven stressful, time consuming and costly.
