We were recommended this branch by a family friend but we will never go by recommendations again.Where to start! A poor slow service, unprofessional in the lettings section, questions asked were slow to be answered to or not at all or were evasive and misleading. The most unforgiveable thing though was when the previous tenants moved out several days before they failed to disclose they had been told about damp. My partner is ill and cannot live in damp conditions and the lettings agent knew this. She didnt seem to care! Only when we were in the office and signing did she tell us and on top of that had changed the renewal in the contract after 6months from 60 pounds to 120 pounds. We corrected her and she said it was a mistake. Ironically it was 60 pounds in the draft contract which we read thoroughly. Stupidly we continued signing and when we went to look at the property there was the damp and so we went back and rejected the property. We have managed to get our deposit and rent back but only because my partner will not take no for an answer but we have been left hundreds of pounds out of pocket. Beware when you sign the contract you also allow Reeds Rains to pass your details to third parties which they say are trusted sites one being Spark Energy. The least said about them the better I think. Shame on you Reeds Rains!!!

This was an unfortunate case, as the previous tenants to 'Kim' had to leave under duress, having failed to make their rental payments, also as Kim says they did not alert us to the damp problem. However once we were aware we did inform the new applicants, and although we were entitled to keep the fee, we felt it best for all parties for us to return it, as a gesture of good faith. I do take such issues personally, this being our own business, and we acted as quickly as the business allows when we are made aware of a problem, hence the gesture of returning the app fee etc asap, just a shame that this act of good will was not reciprocated
