I wanted to give some feedback on Aaron Brooker who manages the property that I rent. Prior to Aaron's arrival, most dealings with the management people were tedious and frustrating compounding the feeling that customer service is not something that most estate agents and David Andrew in particular put on their agenda at all and that people who rent properties are treated as second-class citizens.
Basic skills like communicating in a cordial and professional way seemed to be lacking from the previous employees and it would take several emails and calls before any requests were even acknowledged.
By contrast, I have found Aaron to be intelligent and empathetic. His manner is professional and his communication is excellent. Things have not always gone smoothly but his attitude has always been commendable as he listens, explains the situation, sets expectations and most of all shows a lot of respect for the fact that we, as renters, actually have some rights. His attitude to the professionals that carry out the work for us is also respectful and I am sure he ensures their work is good as a result.
Whereas in the past I have encountered a bit of a blame culture, where when things do go wrong, it is seen as acceptable to blame another party ¢â‚¬â€œ be that the handyman, the landlord, the volume of work or even us as the tenant ¢â‚¬â€œ I have found that Aaron is very solutions-focussed and is able to say that what happened was not acceptable. Furthermore, there have been significant improvements in the level of service we have received as a result of him actually taking on board feedback and striving for a better quality of service.
I run a business development team in a successful education company and I can say that no matter how much money you rake in, it is the relationship-building that gains you custom, keeps your clients on board and builds your reputation.

Here at David Andrew Estates we are not your typical estate agents. We do try to listen to our clients, both internal, external and on both sides of the property management process. As a property management department, we are working together as a team and aiming to be the best at what we do and the only way to do that is to listen and learn.
