We are absolutely appalled and shocked by the lack of communication and common knowledge of certain members of staff at this branch. Several times we have called, and gone into the branch to speak to the member of staff responsible for the bonds, to be told she's either out of the office or on lunch.
Our complaint and concern for a refusal of bond to be returned by the most rude arrogant and two faced land lord of 40B tunnel terrace has left us short for our mortgage after changing her mind 1 week after the ok from the inspection upon vacating the property.
I attended the branch one afternoon to again ask for assistance to be told she will be returning from lunch shortly, approximately 6 staff were in the office discussing their personal life swinging on their chairs drinking coffee and tea when the phone rang for a specific agent who told him to tell them that she was out of the office, blatantly she wasn't!!
Our bond was returned in favour to the landlord, as our evidence wasn't submitted, conveniently we never received the letters or chance to put our evidence forward.
We have an inventory for the property made up signed and dated by Martin & Co themselves, stating the item we were billed for damage was already damaged before we moved into the property. When we moved out we had brand new drawers and units ruined from the damp in her flat and a whole black bag of clothes shoes, bedding and handbags thrown out from our wardrobe because they had damp and damage to them.
We also painted the flat for the land lady to hide the damp and mold marks on the wall from her next tenant as she in her on words *couldn't give a shit* She was told by several people the damp is bad, we have photographs in evidence where the flat is so damp the skirting board has separated from the walls and also the toilet is hanging off the wall due to a bad damp problem in her walls which she got her boyfriend to paint with GLOSS!!! Yet no where in the inventory does it mention this property has a evere damp problem?!
So we will be taking this further with complaints and speaking to a solicitor seeing as they don't know what they are talking about and more educated to drink coffee and lie down the telephone to people!! Disgusting....
What agent could do to change your mind?
Got a qualification in customer service and know their job!
