I am part of a group of students who signed a contract with them to rent a property early last summer before we went back home. Thinking there might be follow up action we took the initiative to maintain email contact with our agent. When we finally returned for the autumn term in September 2010, we got a rude shock when we arrived at the property management agency - the flat was never ours. Apparently, as we found out, VictorStone had been asked by the landlord to provide our references and guarantor paperwork, but they never did pass on the information to us at all. Obviously the landlord, upon not receiving anything assumed that it was us who weren't providing the necessary information and decided not to rent the property to us. This information was passed on to VictorStone who in turn conveniently forgot to take any action! Hence when we came back we had a frustrating first few weeks trying to arrange for temporary accommodation and then find a slightly more permanent arrangement elsewhere for the school year. VictorStone never offered any compensation or apology.
